Hopefully decluttering the laundryroom. Couple of good deals at CVS and rite aid today...need to venture out for a newspaper though if I am going to take advantage of them. Not really feeling like leaving the house. Tired and nauseous today, I think our new baby's birthday is coming soon

Good morning frugal peeps!

Slept in a wee bit late this morning due to late night last night, not up this morn until 8 am - wow!
Van was being repaired yesterday, but something else has gone wrong with it, so it HAS to be fixed today. Mechanic is coming soon to look at it and possibly take it back to the shop with him for more work. This is on the must-do list today, as I have to make a 1300-mile round trip this weekend with it to see DS12...absolutely must be able to rely on the van to run properly.
Have already washed 2 loads laundry, 1 load dishes, folded 2 dry loads of laundry and started another load of laundry. Working on Ebay listings in between laundry and dishes. DD21 made me a lovely egg scramble with chopped chicken breast and cream cheese in it, topped it off with sour cream and salsa - yummy! Kind of a brunch, since I didn't eat breakfast.
Rest of the day looks like I'm stuck at home until the van gets fixed, have to make one quick run to the store and then back to keep working on Ebay stuff. Also need to pack up the rest of DS12's stuff to take to him and sort the rest for Ebay or Goodwill.
Have a great day everyone!

this morning i did my biweekly walmart run. came in under budget woohoo
today the prices on the canned meats and veg seem low to me today so i plan to go back and do some stocking up. for example chef boy ar dee products 78 cents. chick peas 54 cents.
i have to retype velocity and acceleration problems for lessons begining wednesday for the 9th grade physical science class i teach.
i bought something at jc penney a the 70 plus 15 percent off pre-sale. have to go pick it up.
i have to change my sheets and tidy the pink bedroom.11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Yay for lazy Sundays! Well, not entirely lazy! I helped DH stack 4 loads of wood this morning, so that feels wonderful to have all done! Now DH is making lunch and I'm lounging! I should be starting laundry in a minute, but I'm not stressing!
This afternoon I plan on straightening my room, having a budget meeting with dh, and possibly starting a knitting project to make stocking caps for the girls to match the scarves I made yesterday. Woo-hoo!
Have a fantastic day!

It's been a very productive day today and that feels SO nice for a change. Usually on weekends I'm wiped out becasue of my busy schedule during the week (school 2 nights a week and working full time). Last weekend I slept a LOT, like 32 hours between Friday night and Sunday morning! EEK!
Today I unloaded the dishwasher, cleaned the bathroom, did laundry, cleaned the living room, clipped coupons and baked some cookies. At 7 o'clock I have a conference call with my other classmates who are working on a team project. Afterwards, I will make a meal plan with DH, do some grocery shopping, wash the bed linens, and vacuum/dust the upstairs bedroom. I THINK that's everything I need to do today! LOL
Sounds like everyone is enjoying their Sunday!!! Have a good rest of the weekend.....

Typical day at work, very slow in the library. The computer at the circ desk was really slow too. I've abandoned it and left a student worker to man the desk. I'm down in the archive room. I need to check a bunch of e-journal links today and it was impossible upstairs. Ok. So why am I doing this? I'll get the journals shortly.
Maybe some crocheting after I get home tonight.Donna

*Great Sunday here - I've loaded my new computer security system and am running a full scan now.
*Last load of laundry is in the dryer.
*Rode my bike for 20 min!!
*need to be decluttering horizontal surfaces in the LR and kitchen before I head for the pool.
Sometime today I do need to work on my online math class since the portfolio is due on 2/15.
And once that's done, I'm going to work on some more crocheted hearts for a patterned garland for preschool.
Bake the turkey breast and I should be good to go for the week!!
Enjoy your Sunday everyone!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

We spent most of the day with the computers off and got a lot of housework done.
1) Moved the bookcase from the entryway into DS6's room and put all of his books into it.
2) Did some loads of laundry.
3) Made dinner.
4) Went to Superstore and bought milk, bread and some snacks (paid cash for everything).
We found out we have to have an electrician come in and install a dedicated line for the microwave. We also decided that we'd paint the kitchen cabinets before doing it, so we spent about an hour trying to figure out what to do with painting. I took a look at some backsplash colors for the kitchen, so we decided on a white kitchen with white cabinets, black countertop and the backsplash would have color in it.
I cut DS11's hair, gave both kids a bath, watched the Grammy Awards and made the dough for gingerbread cookies that I'm making tomorrow.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!
