Simple Sunday 11/21
The week of Thanksgiving is finally here!!
and more
!! and family and great food!! But first, we have Sunday!!
Today I am going to finish straightening up the LR and the kitchen.
Football all morning and then to the pool!!
Going to be on the phone a lot with family I can tell.
Hope you have a peaceful Sunday!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Woke up, got dressed and went to the grocery store at 7:30 to beat the crowds. Got a 15lb turkey(57˘/lb) for sandwiches (mostly, lol) and a nice bone in ham(1.29/lb & $1 off) for future dinners. Glad I didn't have b'fast and coffee before I went it was so nice not dodging crazy cart drivers. I'm so smart, ha!

Ds and his gf will be here for lunch then we are heading over to dd & her fiance's for Thanksgiving dinner, it's her first time hosting.
MIL &FIL will be there too so we have a nice bunch at the table. Feels weird having the dinner today but it works best with the kids schedules & Jack & I don't mind going with the flow. I don't want to be one of those parents that makes their child feel all torn trying to please both their sweetie's family & us too. As long as we get together that's what really matters, not the date.
Not much else going on, just enjoying the day with people I love. Doesn't get much better than that.
Hope you all have a love filled day!~*Darlene*~

Brrr, it's cold outside! I think it's maybe 5 below right now, so needless to say I'm writing from the comfort of my bed! lol Now the fight is on for who is going to get up and grab our coffee. I'm betting it's dh...

DH is going to spend the morning splitting more wood for us and then putting the plow on our new rhino so that I will be able to plow myself out this week, if needed. Hooray, I love being self-sufficient!
For myself I am headed to town this morning. I read on a different website that netbooks were going on sale this morning at Target, and that's what we're getting dd1 for Christmas if I can find one at a good price. I also need to pick up a turkey or two if I can find them on sale. They were 39 cents a pound last week, but I was unable to get to the store in time.
Other than that, it's just cleaning around the house and getting prepared to travel to dh's family's house at the farm for Thanksgiving.
Have an awesome day,and stay warm!

I need to see if jeans are still on sale at a store for DF and buy him another pair or two - b/c the hosp had to cut his when he broke his ankle. He was plenty sad let me tell you....oh the pouting! (I can understand why though!)
Friends want to come and visit....DF really isn't in the mood to be up and about yet, he's still in bed resting....his ankle/leg seems to feel better in bed, so be it.
I just need to pick up around the lv rm before friends arrive later today.
And cooking for dad so he doesn't have to....other then that, laundry galore! And rest for me

I had laundry out the wazoo. There was current laundry, as well as old laundry that was sitting in our exercise room in baskets that hadn't been dealt with in months. Literally, months.
So, after church, I popped in a DVD of Charmed that came from Netflix (I'm making my way through the series from the beginning...it was one of my favorite shows and I miss it!) and got to work. It feels so good to have those baskets out of there! My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

Today is just a sit at home relax day. I started and finished a reversable insulated curtain for my front door. I am also working on finishing a baby blanket that I have been in the process of making for a year now. It's going to be a Christmas gift for my 4 month old Nephew. Need to start dinner here in a bit then back to knitting...maybe starting some simple easy dish cloths to give as small gifts for Christmas. I have some holiday colored yarn I bought yesterday, enough to make three dish cloths.

Today I keep on stopping myself saying no I don't need to do any cleaning since I have a whole week to get it done. I even took a nap with the cat today. Have a grocery list written up. Some how I am going to be on budget with the food bill.

I did absolutely nothing today except dinner/dishes.
This is why Sundays are my favorite day. I did all my housework yesterday and we had friends over last night, so today I decided football was priority. Yay Redskins. My other team(Colts) didn't favor so well. I'm going to do some reading before bedtime and call it a day.

Good evening, all.....just bringing up the rear here....
It's been a great day.....didn't do a whole lot except sleep in, do dishes, clean the bathroom, and a couple loads of laundry. Other than that, I've been relaxing with DH and our niece stopped over with her 2 kids and boyfriend to pick some stuff up. It's been a wonderful day because I got to do everything I wanted to do and see the ones I love.
Having it get dark outside so quickly is messing with me. At 6 p.m. I thought it should be 9 p.m. and vice versa! I have no concept of time when I'm trying to get used to daylight savings....
Hope everyone has a great night's sleep. I'm off from school this week, so I should be around more in the evenings after work (can't post from work unfortunately). I look forward to chatting with everyone!

Slept in, watched football, and then went Christmas shopping with DD and a few errands. The Dollar Tree had double packs of toothpaste for a buck so I stocked up on a few!!
I cut DD hair tonight and watched some tv with DH. It was a nice day.

We had a wonderful day at the coast....picked up some beer at a favorite brew pub, headed on down to our favorite place for clam chowder...I got to knit in the car along the way....then went to our favorite winery to pick up some wine on the way home, and made a detour to the Cheesecake Factory (had a GC), and picked up a couple new tops at the mall at super low prices! Overall, an excellent day!
