    Default Simple Sunday 1/2/11

    Good morning, all...

Not much to report today......my cat Casey hasn't been feeling well, so now we're just waiting for our 12 o'clock appointment. I'm feeling kind of worried right now, so forgive my short post.

I hope everyone has a blessed day!

    Good luck with kitty!

We are focused on getting ready for the return of reality tomorrow- our three sons are headed back to school and I am headed back to work after over a week off. I'm hoping to make it pain-free, lol.

    Have a great day!

Hoping for good news Andrea, so glad you are having him seen today. Waiting and wondering is so so hard.

Quiet day here, I've got laundry waiting to be hung and have done some dishes.
Was raining but now the suns out. Woot! Most of the snow has melted since the last couple days have been warm. Enjoy it while we can, winter will be back.

I'll be going to the library tomorrow so I need to do some research to see what I'd like to read then check online to see if my library has the books. This time of year I usually use the library closest to me (3.8 miles)& with gas prices being the way they are ($3.30/gal) it's a must too. I like the bigger library (15.5 miles) but saving $ comes first. I like to read series books in order so pre planning helps.

I got the hall (aka the vacuum)closet cleaned out and did alot of work on our bedroom closet too yesterday. Love getting things in order, feels good. Garbage man will be surprised to see all the loot I'll have for him.

Dinner tonight is spagahetti & meatballs (homemade sauce) with homemeade italian bread and a salad. Need to get to the grocery store soon out of milk, oj and other things. I don't wanna go,lol. But I'll do it tomorrow after my library trip on the way home.

Thinking of you & Casey, Andrea.

Hope everyone has a simple day filled with simple joys.

    Good morning!
Today is also our last day of pleasure before it's back to school for the kids! And of course it's booked with things to do.

Youngest dd has a bday party to attend, but we misplaced the invite so i'll have to contact the child's parents to find out the time. We are also going to Applebee's for lunch so that dh can help celebrate ds's birthday meal (his bday is on Tuesday and Dad will be out of town).

We went out with friends and got a pickup load of wood yesterday. And lo and behold, they followed us home and unloaded their pickup load of wood at our house, too. So sweet, I love amazing friends! We took them out for pizza last night as a thank-you.

Today is just cleaning and trying to put away the Christmas decorations. I undecorated the tree last night, so I just need to move everything downstairs. I CAN DO IT, I CAN DO IT...

    Have a GREAT day!

Woke up watched a little tv then went to the store to get a paper. Came home watched some more tv then took a shower. Made a rice dish, washed dishes about three more times and prepped everything for the meat dish. Kept on doing a bunch of tiny tasks in between. But now I am ready for company. Anything else that I forgot about well, oh well.

One good thing is that it got me doing some serious housecleaning which I have been lax on lately. Feel like I have a good clean place now. Hopefully I can keep it up. Fingers crossed.

    Hey everyone!

We are back from the vet and now it's just wait and see. We had blood work done, a urinalysis, and Casey was given fluids, an anti-biotic injection and pills to take home. Right now he is restfully sulking on the coffee table. I've been leaving him alone and letting him get re-oriented in the house. I want to pick him up and cuddle him SO bad, but I know he will come to me when he's ready for that. He is a cat that we rescued from our niece who wasn't taking very good care of him when he was a kitten....he's had some health issues from the very beginning and has so far managed to be OK for 15 years with us. I love him to pieces!!!

I'm sort of drained right now, but as soon as DH gets back from his computer jobs, I will make a corn meal cake and chili.

    Have a GREAT day everyone!!!

Laundry day here. We have family over yesterday and DH did a fantastic clean up job so we are left with laundry, undercoating, and decluttering. This evening we are going to our church's youth dinner where DH's KC council is cooking burger so free dinner for our family and no cleanup..woohoo!

Just got home from church, trying to decide where to start with the rest of my day. Stopped by the store on way home from church to pick up milk and drinks for the week. They had the XL Hershey bars for .65, I picked up a bunch to put away for special treats this winter. The kids and I can share one and be satisfied. Don't need to drive anywhere else so I can focus on home today.

    I need to:
~ clean the kitchen, empty dishwasher/reload, hand wash
    ~ fold clothes
    ~ clean family room/mop
~ make some pizza pockets for lunches later this week
~ crochet on my mom's lap blanket

Dinner tonight is going to homemade pizzas and salads.

Hope everyone has a peaceful day.

    Hello all!

Spending the day doing housework, preparing for the week ahead, and running errands. Will definitely throw some knitting into the mix, and am hoping to squeeze in some exercise.

Before church, I got the kitchen tidied and the last two loads of laundry done.

We went to church but had to leave 15 minutes before it was over because DD10 was not feeling well - she was sick to her stomach. I dropped her at home, where she went straight to bed.

I did the groceries and got some art supplies to keep us entertained - the kids are off all week from school and I'm off until Thursday.

I'm spending the afternoon trying to pull $500 from the sky so I can pay my rent tomorrow. I miss having a line of credit for situations like this. It makes me feel sick to my stomach too, worrying this much about money. I sent cheery, "Hi, how are you" emails to two people that owe me money, and am hoping that comes through. I am also waiting on a large rebate that may arrive this week - if it came tomorrow, that would be awesome.

Spent an all-time low on groceries today - only $40! I'm awfully glad for all the holiday leftoverrs and the stockpile that I have right now!

Happy Sunday! Hope your kitty is getting better by the minute.

Everyone is home from church, now it's time for a little football watching while the washer and dryer are constantly humming.

My mom picked up my oldest DD to give her a sewing lesson, which I'm really happy and thankful for.

Dinner is simple, then we'll fold/hang laundry together while we watch TV together tonight. That's our Sunday.
