    Good morning!

It is snowing like crazy here in the mountains, which is AWESOME! Except for the fact that we have to drive thru a mountain pass to get to dd's 1st basketball tournament this morning. And THAT makes me a nervous wreck. Slow and steady, and we should be fine!

So with that said, a lot probably won't get accomplished today given that we will be gone for most of it.

Go Cougars Go! Have a great day!

Rain mixed with snow here in north Texas. Got up early and finished reading my book. Started another one. Saw a male and female cardinal at my feeder this morning. I love my birds! Cooked bacon, eggs, and toast for DH. Baking magic cookie bars and getting son reading to fly back to Seattle for his last term. I always get sad when my kids go home. He will be moving back in March and I will be glad to have him back in Texas. I will be patiently waiting for his phone call to tell me he made it back to his apartment safely.

Today will be another day by myself (which I am totally ok with). DBF had to head into work again (unfortunately, he is salary so when he works weekends - it doesn't really matter financially) and then he is having another guys night with a different group of guys (hockey game and dinner).

I got a lot picked up around the condo yesterday, but would like to finish cleaning the bedroom (vacuum, dust, wash the sheets).

I also need to get some work done today as well.

That is about it for me! Have a great Sunday, everybody!

Very snowy here in Southern Ontario too - it looks beautiful out.

I have to go to a bridal shower this afternoon so I finished making my gift this morning. I am a bit anxious about it because although my friend, the bride is quite down-to-earth, the family she is marrying into is not. I made her a cook book with my favorite big batch recipes and did it in a scrap book style. Well, screw 'em if they think that's tacky - I'm far from rich! I think it would be tackier to buy something I can't afford.

I always feel very anxious in social situations so I just want to go, get it over and get back home. When I get home I'm going to organize all my art supplies so I can use them better.

I hope you all have a safe, warm and blessed Sunday.

Just got home from church, checked in on the pets, and then made lunch. For dessert I made a batch of almond torte balls from a site called Sprout People. I forgot how much I LOVE making live foods and recipes with sprouts in them! They turned out SO delicious!!!

The recipe was so simple....just had sprouted (or soaked) almonds, dates, peanut butter, maple syrup, sea salt and a tsp. of vanilla extract. I rolled them into little balls, rolled them in chopped nuts, and they are now in the freezer....YUM!

Hope everyone has a nice day!!!

Hello all! We have had company for the weekend. We went to early Mass together before they left. Have been washing the linens in the guest room and cleaning. I also made sure we had wood stocked up and plenty of groceries. We are supposed to get a doozie snowfall! Hope you have a great afternoon!

Today was a work day for me but I still got a few things done. worked at my telecommuting job for about 7 hours. Baked my very first batch of HM bread and am pretty happy with it. Washed and changed the bed sheets plus 2 loads of laundry. I have the startings for supper done and rice pudding in the crock pot. Later today I need to clean out under a few cupboards, run the sweeper and mop the kitchen. After that I am going to relax with a hot cup of tea, a warm blanket and watch a DVD with DH...It is freezing here but sunny with lovely blue sky. Happy Sunday all!

I spent the majority of the day getting caught up on housework and hanging out with my son.

after I dropped my son off I went shopping at Aldi's and picked up a few things to make dinner. If feels good to cook as it seems I haven't had time to cook and plan ahead in months. Now I have lunch and dinner set for the week.

It feels good to save time and save money!
