    Default Simple Sunday - Sept 11, 2011

I didn't see one for a few weeks, wanted to get this going again.

Today I woke up early, had some reflection time before getting out of bed. Coffee, lots of coffee.

Sat down and watched the memorial ceremony in Boston, NYC and the Pentagon.

In a bit, I need to
    ~ empty dishwasher
    ~ load dishwasher
~ wash remaining pots & pans
~ move some items in the livingroom
    ~ shine my sink
~ set a timer for 15 minutes and work in the kitchen
~ make the sides to Diva's school lunches, assemble all of them and put in freezer

Not feeling my top today... so, I will see if I can squeeze a little more out of me after that.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Today is home day for me as well. I am getting a new bed delivered so I am washing all of the new bedding for that and cleaning the spots off the carpet in that room.

    I'm also going to ....
finish my laundry and put it all away
    vacuum
    dust
    clean up the kitchen
    wipe down the bathroom.

I want to make some banana blueberry muffins to use up some stuff I have around the house so it doesn't go to waste. Then I will probably relax and maybe take a nap in my new bed!

I plan on staying home as well today. The guys here need a day to mostly goof off as we've been go-go-go so much with thier sports stuff and work that when we're home it's been mostly about chores. I'm goofing off as well but find puttering around relaxing too. I've popped on and off the computer a couple of times, cooked a big breakfast, sorted through some clothes with both boys, and put a large squash in the oven to bake, drank lots of coffee and am still in my robe. Usually the boys HATE the clothes sorting thing. Since they both seem to be developing a sense of what they like and don't now though, (I would've thought the 15 year old would have a long time ago) it's been a bit more fun as they are more into it. They've also laughed their butts off when they've attempted to put on some of the clothes they could wear last fall. The 12 year old was appalled that some of his pants were past floods into looking like girls capris.

Anyway, I think I'm going to:
~ get a shower and try on some of the pants they've outgrown myself. I could use a couple of pairs of jeans.
~ putter some in my closet
    ~ do some laundry
~ put some homemade chicken pot pies together for dinner
~ have DH help me write out the bills later on
~ prep lunch boxes for tomorrow

Mostly I'll end up doing whatever it is I feel like other than the shower and dinner. I'll probably regrett useing today as one of my off days from excersize since it becomes a chore trying to fit it in on the weekdays but I generally don't take a whatever day and today just is flowing right.

So far we've slept in, had coffee and I made brunch for the two of us (DH & I). We're now sitting and relaxing watching movies with more coffee.

Will have to clean the kitchen later - its nice to be able to cook and soak dishes until I am ready to tackle them and enjoy my meal vs shoveling down the food and running to clean the dishes/kitchen before dad does while still chewing my last mouthfuls.

Still have to unload dishwasher and reload and will prob toss in a load or two of laundry.

I believe we're having grilled burgers tonight

It's my only day off today so I have lots to do.

    So far we have :

    ~ Slept in until 11
    ~ Eaten brunch (pierogies)
    ~ Cleaned the kitchen
~ Cleaned the dining room floor
~ Done one load of laundry

    We still need to:

    ~ Move some furniture
~ Clean the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room floors
    ~ Declutter a little more
~ Vacuum the dog hair off the stairs
    ~ Cook for the week
~ Do one more load of laundry

I got an upsetting phone call from my boss. His little boy had a grand mal siezure this morning so he is not going to be at work. The poor little guy is 8 and has been having a minor siezure (if there is such a thing) every week for the past month and they don't know what is causing it. Please keep him in your prayers.

Aside from the sad news, life is feeling better today.

I have been productive as well as a little bit lazy today, as well!!

Got up and went to church. We just started going again, so it's been a challenge to get everyone motivated to go. We came home, and I fed everyone and started laundry.

Since then, I have spray-painted a little magazine holder for oldest dd's bedroom, swept, vacuumed the living room rug, cleaned out the microwave, and put away 1 load of laundry.

I still need to research recipes and meal plan for this week, so I'm doing that while watching the Vikings. Go Vikes!!!

    Have a great Sunday!
