Sunday Slowdown
What are you doing today?
Gripey and I are taking the day off. We ended up running into the city to pick up the things that he needed for our upcoming cruise. So today we're at home. He's had his workout and we've both had breakfast. I think he'll shower up and be done for the day (other than watching football all day).
For me, I have very long list:
~workout
~shower
~put a few dishes in the dishwasher
~put my feet up.....
You taking the day off too, or do you have lots to do today?

I haven't been posting as much lately, so I'll get back with it today.
~Catching up on a bunch of email.
~Washing some clothes
~Getting a book ready to be mailed out for paperbackswap.com
~Declutter some and maybe work on some crafts
~Relax as much as I can before another work week.

I am cleaning my kitchen, today. I've let it go and it needs sprucing. I have some laundry to do. My family is getting together at my DMother's for supper. We are doing our name drawing for Christmas. She is making burgunday meatballs. I am bringing mashed potatoes and a peach cobbler. Don't know what everyone else is bringing. We always enjoy getting togther.

We are going to a party for John's football team and the the teams in the other three age groups that play for our district. After that we are possibly going to pick up some new clothes for the kids and I forgot to get a few things at Sam's yesterday so may stop by there also.

Not doing a whole lot around here today. I've been looking through some cookbooks trying to get some new ideas for Thanksgiving dishes. Fixing chicken and dumplings for dinner. After dinner I think I'm going to do a "grooming evening"--going to give myself a manicure, pedicure and facial.

We went and turned in our recyclables, which paid for filling up our 10 gallon propane tank. We use it with a heater for spot heating in the house. Particularly handy for these cold mornings (we don't use the wall heater at night). Otherwise the house doesn't warm up until we are just about to leave for work.
Now I'm boiling a couple artichokes that need to be cooked. I'll start cooking beans in a little while for dinner, after I get that going I'll make some chicken salad for sandwiches so I'll have something quick and easy to make when I come home for lunch during the week.
DH is watching football and doing his laundry.
I need to do a load of laundry and thats about it.“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Not much going on here today. DH is cooking supper so no cooking for me today and I just need to do a couple loads of laundry and then a quick run through the house to make sure that there is nothing that our new furbaby
can chew up on the floor and then I am done. I plan on getting some reading done and visiting in the Village.

Today I spent most of it cleaning up my computer. Found 3 trojan viruses on it and I had to completely scubb the hard drive and rebuild it. Took all day.

I went to church this morning and out to eat with my sil and mil. Hubby got home from hunting and we watch the KC Chiefs and the Nascar race...woo hoo. Did all my cleaning and laundry yesterday so today was a "just me" day. Had some BBQ pork for supper and there are plenty of left overs for lunches this week for me. Everyone have a good week!!

Working with 2 sisters and newphew, neice and DD moving more of grandmas stuff over to her new room at the ACLF. Today mostly her books, clothes and personal items. Still alot to clear out of her apartment but need to get her settled in first then deal with whats left in her place. Gonna try to find a 2nd hand furinture guy to come in and buy whats left. Maybe add to her bank account alittle. Dinner will be leftovers.
