    Default Slow Sunday

What's everyone got going on today? It's a nice day weather wise here. Got lots to do since Ds and Ddil will be in on Friday and I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Wednesday. Dd#2 will be here that day and I've still got plenty to do to get the house ready and be ready for Christmas.

    Today:

    ~workout
    ~clean kitchen
    ~clean laundry room
~do 2 loads and put away
    ~bookkeeping
    ~make grocery list for tomorrow.

Tomorrow Gripey and I have teeth cleaning appts. and then I have some more housework to do. On Tuesday it's prep for the scope (ugh) and Wednesday is a wash for me. I'll be groggy for a lot of it. Thursday more housework and grocery shopping and Friday go and get Ds and Ddil
Gonna be a busy week around here. I imagine it's much the same for everyone else (well give or take the colonoscopy...lol).

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

*We're debt freeeeeeeee! (including the house)*

Prarie Rose, good luck on your colonoscopy. I had that test done a few years ago...the test itself isn't bad but the "prep" day is awful!!

    So far today I have:
    Made the bed
    Showered and washed my hair

    I still need to:
Study for a test at school
    Clean the kitchen
On 11-22-85 I married the man of my dreams.
On 01-13-89 I gave birth to the love of my life.

~Today I've already been to the mall, craft store, dollar store and grocery store. It just started to get crowded as I was leaving. I used a 'Buy $25 get $10 off" coupon to get a present for Roman's b-day and got a crib pad free. I plan to cut it up to make some mommy pads. I have a pie in the oven for lunch. DH and I might be getting sick so I'm going to postpone my visit to my new niece. So since I'll be here today I think I'll work on making crib sheets and pillowcases for the kids. I also need to hang a load of laundry. Just taking it easy the rest of the day.~

So far we went to church and I started a batch of laundry, should come out of the dryers in 20 minutes (we have two machines here, so doing two loads at the same time counts as a "batch" in my book).

    Left on the list:
*Finish Christmas cards (we still need to print out about 10 more copies of the picture we took, I need to track down a few more addresses, and DH is almost done with the letter) to be in the mail tomorrow.
*I have two more coupons that expire today (CVS and Victoria's Secret) so I want to go out and hit the mall.
*Make one trip out to the dumpster with some trash

I also need to start going through my to-do basket sometime. I'm hoping to make a dent on it this week.

DH wants to go to the hardware store and I need to go to the craft store to pick up an ornament for our ornament exchange at work, and I need to go to the grocery store because I just found out last night that we were invited to a Christmas party tomorrow night and DH volunteered me to make a cheese ball (I don't mind )

DH and I defrosted our chest freezer this morning, and I wrote out the inventory of what we actually have in the freezer. Made breakfast, washed dishes, started beans for tonight's supper. The rest of the day will be slow, cutting coupons and browsing the web.

I'm baking Christmas cookies this afternoon. I need to get my Christmas menu finalized and get a grocery list made. Making hot wings for dinner. It's unusually warm here today--I've got the doors open since the house got too warm with the oven going

I did a few groceries this morning with the kids (not too peaceful if you get my drift), got gas in the car, tidied up around the house, watched the grinch with my kids, got lunch together, and am waiting for a visit from my grandma, aunt and uncle who live about an hour away!

Today I had to go get a light bulb for the security light. Went to Target to get a couple of items. Have cracked some almonds. Other than that have a few forms to fill out for people, clean the office and closet.

    Phew! It's been BUSY!

We just got home a bit ago. Dh & I dropped the kids off at my mom's house and drove to the "big city" for some shopping and dinner without the kids. A belated anniversary celebration lol.
We went to Target, Toys R Us, AC Moore (just to get through traffic, but scored...they had Thomas the Tank Engine stuff 40% off!!). Then the mall, where we hit Hot Topic, Spencers (can you tell we have a teen to buy for? lol), KB Toys, and a specialty import place for Kinder Eggs for the kids stockings.
We had a yummy (and free) dinner at Smokey Bones. Paid for with my MyPoints. Then we drove back, hid the presents, went back to my mom's & picked up the kids. As a thank you, I knitted my mom some wristwarmers during the drive. She loved them.
Now we are home. I made rice krispy treats (green!) and the boys are in the bath. Counting the minutes till bedtime. I'm pooped

I went to church this morning with my step daughter that was visiting and that was a special day. I also had my MRI on my back today...yes they do them on Sunday. I will get the results tomorrow. I was glad to have her with me as she helped me get groceries today. She went home today after everything and all I got done was changing the sheets on the bed and then the Chiefs game started and the world stops...LOL..
