The slumber party was a success, and dd went home with the last girl to play today! WOOHOO! I need to take movies back, go to walgreens for some sales, then home to relax. Everyone have a great day!

It is still damp and drizzly here, but it can rain all day as far as I am concerned. We badly needed the rain. DH took the 4yr old and 2 yr old to church, dd7 did not want to go today and I didn't want to take ds out in the rain.
    I am working on:
~ laundry, piles of laundry. Doing the sheets and towels today since we generally dry them in the drier anyway. Wait until tomorrow for clothing so I can hang outside.
~ Sorting, Organizing and putting away books that we have used in school for the last couple of months. I am way behind
~ Made banana/strawberry puree for ds to use up some bananas and strawberries we had
~ Swept the family room and put away toys, that lasted for 15 minutes. But at least they started fresh this morning
~ Continue going through cookbooks to find summer meals for us to try with our new 'local' diet

I'm enjoying my last day of freedom. I am watching a neighbor's dd this summer and quite honestly, I'm not looking forward to it. She's quite the handful.

I've got laundry going, the kitchen is pretty clean, as is the dining room and living room. Need to clean the bathroom today, and mop the floors. We've got laminate throughout the house, so I've got plenty to mop. Blech.

DH is installing our new screen door now. Our old one was in such bad shape-you could barely get it to close, it was difficult to open, etc etc. I'll be happy to get the new one installed. Got a great price on it, too. We've been looking, but hadn't found the best price until today.

It's cloudy and overcast, and we may get some rain later. We can sure use it.

Trying to enjoy the day. I vacuumed the hard wood floors and I am doing some laundry. Going to run to the grocery store. We are having a graduation dinner at my Mom's tonight, with the family, for DD17. Fun, fun, fun. We are making homemade peach ice cream!

It's nice here too with a slight breeze but it's warm out, I think it's in the mid 80's.

Today I just have to straighten up the house, put dirty dishes in the dishwasher to get washed, relax and watch a movie with DD since DH had to freakin go into work today.

OH! My oldest DS want me to drive with him to the arena they are having his graduation at on Monday (tomorrow 6/4) so he doesnt get lost, lol

We've had one of those days that problem after another.
Opened DD's bedroom door this morning to find walls, bed and floors covered in flying ants. Some alive some dead. So its been an unexpected cleaning day along with trying to find out where the nest is and how they are getting into the house.
Luckly DD was spending the night at a friends house so I've been able to tear her room apart with out her under foot. Unfortunatly DH has been there in her place. <Sigh>
Have run to the store and done a quick shopping, most meals this week will be late as we're working on repainting an Applebee's in Newport Richey this week.

Weather here is nice today around 85 but a good breeze. Rain yesterday was such a blessing!
Glad to hear your daughter's party was a success Julie.

Gripey and I had a working Sunday. He worked in the yard and on the pool all day and I worked in the office doing bank statements, paying bills, clearing off the desk and shredding stuff. Ugh, but so happy it's done. I'm caught up with our's and Dad's bookwork so that's a really good thing.

Gripey then cooked out some steaks and a ham steak and I made a foil pouch of potatoes, squash and onions and he cooked that as well on the grill. We had Dad over for supper and we had a nice chat. Now we're chilling out being lazy.

It's looking like it's going to rain now. Woo Hoo!

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~
