Default It's a slow Sunday, what cha doin'?

Gripey and I are staying at home today, resting. I'm still feeling worn out from being sick and have been really busy this past week. I need a day of rest. Dd is coming home for a few days, starting this evening so I know we'll be doing things with her for a few days. Later in the week I'll be taking my ddad to a family birthday party 4.5 hours away.....we'll spend the night. For us today it's:
    ~Nothing!

Gripey cooked breakfast, Dad came and ate and went home shortly after.. .
We're now surfing and I'm feeling a nap coming on...*yawn*. I hope everyone has a great, restful or funfilled day.

Not much here. DD went to a friends house, DH went for a motorcycle ride, the dog and I are contemplating a nap. Having leftovers for dinner, so I don't even need to cook today.

Well, the floor guy has already come over to look and see when he thinks we will be able to get the little issue with it fixed and the floor completed.

We are all about to head to WM to pick up a few groceries.

We have a baseball game this afternoon - All-Star season is in full swing.

We need to move some furniture back into the proper rooms for now.

DH and DD need to give the little dog a bath.

DH and DS need to cut the back yard.

I need to be working on painting the door in the laundry room, but that room is always warmer than the rest of the house and I don't want to. Laziness. DH is not any more motivated. Keeps hollaring from the bedroom,"hey, come here a sec".And I keep hollaring back,"Just a sec!"Been going on all morning! Gotta get busy.In a sec.

We slept in. Except for DH who worked last night. But, when he got home he napped in his recliner. I have washed two loads of clothes, emptied the dishwasher, cleaned the 2 downstairs toilets and taken a shower. I have made out some menus for next week and my grocery list. I did one scrapbook page. I've also been looking out and watching the rain. We are so dry here. We need rain badly.

    I'm feeling icky today

Mostly just hanging out around the house, hanging out laundry, knitting, and getting the house back in order after the yard sale yesterday.

It's a beautiful day here-mid 60's. I slept in today. I made a big batch of chili, cooked up some steaks to freeze and am going to make some hummus for veggie dip.

DH did a little bit of yard work, I did a little bit of dusting. We both did a load of laundry. Went to the hardware store and bought some assorted stuff. I have to go the grocery store because I forgot to buy DH some soymilk and he didn't feel like going after we left the hardware store. Going to grill a chicken breast and cut it up and put it in a salad for dinner. Supposed to hit 99 degrees today so we'll most likely stay inside with the a/c on and watch tv/surf. DH is studying some php/sql stuff right now. Oh and I have to iron my work clothes.

We have been totally lazy today. Outisde of feeding/watering people and pets, I have done almost nothing but play on the computer. DD has been playing with toys and watched some preschool shows, and DS fussed all morning but he's slept all afternoon. Leftovers for supper.

Slept late, read for a while, left for work at noon, and I'm here at the library, working the shift alone until 11 tonight. New residents are in, but it's a downtime for current students, and first year med students don't come until later in the month. So it's a slow Sunday for sure -- even at work. And that's nice!

Okay, it's really boring with no one at home! DD just called, she's staying overnight at friends. I'm waiting for dh to call me so I can meet up with them for a beer, and I'll drop off dd's pjs and stuffed animal. I've read my book, been crocheting and knitting. I'm bored!!!!

and I slept in for a few extra hours this morning. Then we tossed a chicken into the roaster and headed out to get some errands done. After that we came home, had some lunch and I headed to the gym, while he stayed home and worked out. Now we're lazing about. I just got out of the shower and will dry my hair in a second. After that, we'll go get an ice cream cone and go for a stroll.

Not much going on here today either. Weather is blah...
Did some birthday cookies and did a "trial run" wedding cake for DD. I hate to spend the $$$$ for one so I attempted to do the one that she wanted. Very simple-with a scroll pattern to match her dress. Came out better than expected. She was very pleased. But what a lot of work.
    I will stick to cookies.....

We went to the zoo today. Wichita has a very nice large zoo, and we have a family membership, so it only cost us the gas to get there. Then we went to our favorite deli, where we each got a cup of soup. They have the most wonderful soup there. I had tomato basil, dd had broccoli cheese, and DH had red beans and rice. Then we went to the public library. Then to Best Buy to get a new hard drive for my computer. It had crashed a couple of weeks ago, and all three of us had been sharing DH's laptop. I have my computer back now, but it has no sound. I guess DH will have to find a driver for the sound card. I am glad he is good at that stuff.

After we got home, DH installed the hard drive, and I read. Then we had tuna salad sandwiches for dinner, and I went to the grocery store. When I got back, about 8:00pm, we rode our bikes for a little bit.
