    Default Sunny Sunday!

    Good morning y'all

Today is such a sunny and beautiful day out - Im motivated to clean!

[That and the fact that I got home, showered and fed by 8am BF got called into work today helps too, eh?]

    Today I will try to:
    * go through the clothes on my blue chair in the bedroom
    * tidy up/organize the pics on my computer and put them onto CD's and see if there's time/money to drop them off to get some printed
    * hop on the gazelle
    * watch the rest of the dvd that we rented last night
    * and quite possibly try to take pics and try to post them on craigslist

Wow Im feeling quite ambitious this am - what have y'all got planned for today?

~Go to NH and give my mom a manicure
~Sweep and mop floors in living room
    ~Vacumn Rugs
    ~Clean bathrooms
    ~Jump in the pool
    ~Put away laundry
~Remove the fake plant life and aquarium statue thingys from the big aquarium and clean them
    ~write out a 2 week menu
    ~clip coupons

So I'm off to get showered and head to the Nursing Home.

Hot and sunny here. We slept in. Our plans for the day are to go out with a neighbor and look at a piece of property we have, they are going to mow it for the hay. Then back home and to my sisters. We are going to visit, then this evening we will have a cookout and plan to row the kids around the pond in a rowboat. The August meteor showers peak tonight. If we can stand the bugs we will watch the shooting star show. It's really something to see. Have a great day!

Gripey and I got up and had coffee on the patio, listening to the birdies serenade.....then we went for a 2 mile walk on the track across the street. Came home and my dad came over for brunch which Gripey cooks on Sunday mornings. After we ate and cleaned up the kitchen we both did a couple of chores to get ready for our upcoming trip. Gripey's watering the yard now and I'm surfing. I think we may go to the lake this afternoon and try out a pair of skis that we got off ebay. (supposed to be easy to get up on a slalom on....hope so) If not we'll laze around the pool for most of the afternoon and cook something easy for dinner. Dd#2 will be home tomorrow and we'll be on our way outta here on Tuesday a.m......Got a busy day tomorrow though....

's mother stopped by to visit us and drop off some items we forgot when we went there last to visit, including my copy of the CTWG. Ahhhh, so glad to have my "frugal bible" back by my bedside, where it belongs.

After that she invited us out to a quick lunch before she hit the road, so we stopped at Wendy's for burgers, which were her treat. So we had a free lunch.

After that and I stopped at the dollar store to buy some new cat food bowls for the kitties (Tempest had his diet changed and we want them to get out of the habit of eating from each other's bowls), some dividers for my classes, some scrubby sponges that loves, and an extension cord. We were overcharged by $1.00, but the poor cashier was in a real tizzy -- I think someone had reemed her out before we got to the cash, so I don't blame her. We didn't notice it until we were on our way, and we didn't want to bother going back and correcting her.

We went to the grocery store after and picked up a huge pork loin ($1.99/lb.), 2 pkg. of 6 chicken legs ($1.99/lb.), a green pepper ($0.88/lb.), some apples and oranges. After that we stopped at a second grocery store for two packages of English muffins (6 pk. for $1.00) and found some soup bones for a brown stock that he wants to make (we've been freezing left over bones for weeks).

When we got home, we were exhausted, so we watched the first episode of "Hell's Kitchen" on our computer, and relaxed for a while. Then we cleaned for a bit, and then went for a walk. I wanted to find out how long it would take me to walk from home to where my school is going to be. It takes approximately 20 minutes. So that's pretty good. I can walk 20 minutes a day twice.

We were also going to take the ferry from our city to the city across the harbour, and had already paid our ticket, but when we went to board, the ferry driver told us that the terminal on the other side of the harbour was experiencing a gas leak and the whole place had been evacuated, so they weren't running the ferry. I was upset, because they couldn't refund us our ticket, and I didn't want to waste it, but reminded me that we were technically "wasting" the ticket anyway by just going over to the other city to go for a walk anyway. So we left without a refund and walked back home, taking our time and wandering through a pretty little park along a stream.

Now that we're home, he's prepping the pork loin and making supper while I'm working on the apartment for fifteen minutes, then relaxing for fifteen minutes. It's been a pretty productive day thus far!

Dh made breakfast this morning and woke me up by bringing mine to me in bed. Then after cleaning up and reading the newspaper and sales ads, we went to town to see Rush Hour 3. After the movie, we went and picked up a few items I saw in the sales ads and headed home. DH tossed some hotdogs on the grill and I started laundry and cleaning the house. Had a few people stop by and pick up some items I listed on Freecycle and I am so glad to have those items gone!! Less clutter and no more dusting items I don't want.

    It was a good day!
