it's gone. i gave it away. joy unbounded.
i can get another if i ever remarry and it is needed.11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

LK ~ I think you did the right thing. If you weren't using it enough to warrant the extra electricity why not let someone else use it?
Curious though, how much did your electric bill go down after you unplugged it? I've always wondered how much those freezers cost to run. TIA

There is just me, DH, and DS (when he is home, haven't seen him in 2 days) I have a very small one that is old it was given to me by my mother 12 years ago.
We fill it with sale items. currently there is a turkey, 2 hams, frozen veggies, bread, hot dogs, hamburger, kielbasa. I love my little freezer, we are planning on getting another newer one (this one is around 18 years old) in a few weeks. Then we will maybe give it to my DD who really needs a new one.
