Candle tutorial #3: Wax melting supplies
As you can see I have state of the art tools for melting my wax.
I have this pan that I only use for candle making b/c after you use it once it's almost impossible to get all of the wax out of it. So if you don't have one you might want to visit the thrift store for a cheap pan before you begin.
You need:
a large coffee can
a few other assorted sizes of cans (all washed and dried)
a ladle (here again used only for candle making)
a spoon
some oven mits or hot pads
newspaper
paper towels
a big knife for cutting the wax
