does anyone have an olive oil soap recipe for a novice soap maker?
I'd like to try my hand at making soap. I've never done it before. I have a lot of olive oil here so I'd like to use some of it as the fat ingredient in the soap. Does anyone have a tried and true recipe?

Rhonda, I have one, but I didn't post because I wouldn't say it is tried and true. I've only made it a couple times. If you still want it, let me know.

OK, this is the recipe I'm using and I'm going to make tit tomorrow.
Olive Oil 16 Ounces
Distilled Water 5 Ounces
Sodium Hydroxide 2 Ounces
Essential Oil 0.7 Ounce
Do any of our soapmakers have any last minute hints for me?

Oh, Rhonda- I'm so sorry. I forgot all about this. And now I can't even give you the recipe if I wanted to, because it was on my old computer that crashed (you know, the one where I lost everything.)
Anyway, I haven't made any in a while so can't even comment on your recipe. If I ever find the sites I used to formulate mine, I will post them.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out!
