Parsley Dumplings
Recipe DescriptionParsley dumpling recipe used in turkey soup. Could be used in many other soups/stews however. Modified from the parsley dumpling recipe on epicurious.com .Preparation Steps:Cut up butter into small chunks. Chop parsley (omit stems). Make the soup/stew this is going into.Level of Difficulty:EasyTime Needed:30 minsIngredients:1C flourServes:
1 1/2t baking powder
pinch salt
1 1/2T butter
1/2C milk
fresh leaf parsley, 2T4 adult servingsDirections:Cut butter into small cubes/pieces. Chop parsley leaves finely. Mix dry ingredients together with a fork. Rub in butter completely.
Then add milk and parsley, stir until just blended. Drop by forkfuls into bubbling soup/stew. After they have puffed out and are likely cooked on one side (5 mins?), turn over and cook briefly on other side. Serve immediately.
