Cream of Broccolli and Broccolli Cheese Soup

Fast, frugal and tasty! Depending on sales, I can make this for as little as $.20 a serving without cheese and $.25 with cheese.
Preparation Steps:
Wash and chop broccoli in nickle sized pieces. They will break up smaller after cooking.

Ingredients:
2 cups chopped fresh broccoli(about 4 ounces)
2 cups of chicken broth or 2 bouillon cubes with 2 cups of water
2 cups of milk
1/4 cup flour
1/3 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese-optional
Serves:
About 1 cup per person
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, bring broccoli and chicken broth to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 10 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Mix together flour and milk until flour is dissolved. Add to saucepan. Heat and stir until thickened, about 5 minutes. Turn of heat. Stir in cheese shreds, if desired, until melted in. Serves 3 lunch portions.
