Its nice to meet you both! I've heard of Rolla but never been there. Don't get too far away from home nowadays. I've not been to St. Louis in over a year. How's the river looking up there?

If I'm not mistaken you're a little ways past Farmington? That's a nice area.

That would be us. Any plans for the 4th? We're going to splurge and go visit some friends in Perryville, MO that we've not seen in five years. Their only 30 miles away but we all lost track of each other once we moved closer to Cape Girardeau. With DH not working I think its helping him to meeting with friends.

I've never even heard of Perryville but hope yall have fun! I'm sure it's great for him( and all of yall) to get out and about!
I think we're just gonna go to the city's fireworks deal with some family. The 4th really isn't a big deal in our house and I need to get a bunch of stuff caught up on since we have family coming to visit from Texas next weekend. Maybe I'll finally get my butt in gear and fold the 10 loads of clean laundry that have been calling my name for... well awhile now.

I was in Rolla 2 weeks ago..played chaperone for our high school girl's basketball team (both coaches are male and we were there for basketball camp). We didn't get to do much, just 2 days of basketball games.

Hi DJ! Nice to meet you. I use to live in Jackson, about 10 minutes from Cape until we moved into the middle of nowhere. *also known as Marble Hill*

Mama.... that reminds me I have to do laundry today provided it doesn't rain. I've been trying to be good and hang everything but 'unmentionables' up.

if we hadn't been invited to the party Friday night, we'd be just sitting at home, fuming at the neighbors as they light their stuff over our pasture. Wouldn't be bad if we didn't have goats out their. They will be hiding in the hut all night for sure.

Good Morning!

We had a pretty nice fourth. The friend's we visited had a huge fireworks display. Wendell was able to meet with some old friends which he really enjoyed. Yesterday he was in a great mood and got out and worked in the yard most of the day. He came in looking like a lobster, after I kept asking him to take it easy several times. He'll be paying for it today, I'm sure.

I live in a small Missouri town south Of Lebanon. My mother-in-law lives in Advance over by Marble Hill and my stepdaughter lives outside of Jackson. Two step kids in St. Louis. I have lived in Missouri for about 20 years.
