Default finally made the move to new mexico

we finally made our move from the new orleans area all the way down to south west new mexico.
getting ready to start work on making a home out on our country desert land.
we're a few dirt roads off a hwy.
never realised there was cotton grown close to us...i see lots of it on the sides of the road that has been wooshed out its bails...was thinking today how much i could do with it. husband didn't want to stop on the side so i could pick up, so i look forward to when he brings back my car (from LA) so i can make a trip to go get some. i'd like to learn how to spin some yarn out of it, or maybe just make stuffed animal beds or stuffed toys out of it... anyone else do this, anyone else live near cotton fields?

I used to live in NM and my family is in Albuquerque. It's really beautiful.
