Hi All...I am new here and new to the WAHM role. I have been a stay at home mother and student for about 5 years. After graduating, my husband and I have decided to open a federal IT contracting business. He is still employed full time as a Network engineer. I am building the business and have an office in my home. So far the juggling has been a challenge. I put my DD in daycare part time so that I can continue to work and attend meetings outside of my home.
Its nice to know that there is a community here that might be able to lend wisdom when the schedule proves to be more than I bargained for :-) I know it will...

Hi! I'm new to the forums and do a lot of work from home. We homeschool and my kids are 5, 9, and 12. I teach a couple of online classes at our local community college. I teach PSY 101 which keeps me using my Master's in Psychology. I also own an online Etsy/eBay business. I have a business partner and we sell jewelry supplies online. That's been going on for over a year and we are going gangbusters. I started doing it by myself but I couldn't handle it all, so I got a partner. She does all the shipping from her home after she gets off her full time job (she says she really likes the mindlessness of counting and packing stuff) and I handle everything else. We also opened a full service bead store recently in my little tiny town about 1/2 block from my house! I have a room for my kids to hang when they come with me. We are only open afternoons into early evening plus Saturdays, so we have time to do our school work before we head to the store. It's working out well so far and I'm having a blast! So the store isn't technically working from home, but I can take my kids, so I still get the perks.
