Dh is losing his job
Dh and I received the news on Wednesday that his warehouse is closing down next week. Though I know deep down inside that this is for the best (Dh was very unhappy at his job) I am very scared! He has some interviews lined up, and has alot of friends in his industry. It is still so scary though, nevertheless.
This also means that we will have to go on public assistance for a while. Unemployment and savings just will not cut it. I'm not ashamed to recieve the help, but it is still humbling nevertheless. I grew up on public assistance, and I really didn't want my girls to ever be on it.
Oh well, sorry to babble. At least we have 30 days of medical coverage. The girls meds are stocked up, and dh and I will get check ups before the insurance runs out. We also have a roof over our head, and each other.
Thanks for listening

Hope all is well...I've been there....Now I look back at that time as a great learning experience. We know we made it through and can again if we have too. Everybody has different strengths in bad times...nurture these in yourself and your spouse!

Sorry to hear about the job loss but like you said it could be for the best in the long run. Sometimes situations that seem scary at the time can really turn into blessings. {{{{HUGS}}}}

I just wanted to say good luck to you and your family...I lost my job in January due to a office closure....and it really has turned out to be a blessing for us... I mean we have struggled some but we sat down and decided what we could live without....like caller id, expanded cable, etc....it has been hard but worth it for me and dh... you sound like you are very optimistic and that will help you sooo much during this time. I just recently found a home-based job (Southern Living at Home) and am sending out resumes for part-time jobs... we found that once we gave up the things we didn't really need and made it on one income +unemployment that now I can just work part-time.... sorry so long...just wanted to say that I hope things turn out for you the way they have for me and my family..
Good luck to you and let me know if you need anything!!
