    Default What have you added?

Would anyone be interested in a "What did you add to your stockpile this week" thread? I think it's interesting to see what others are stocking up on and to see the great deals they got!

Also is there any way to keep the thread here instead of it getting shuffled to the stockpiling forum so that we can post to it here?

In the last two weeks I have added....

10 bottles of VO5 shampoo at .75 each

1 tube of Colgate toothpaste for 1.00

1 tube of Colgate toothpaste for .75

1 tube of Crest toothpaste for 1.00

1 tube of Crest toothpaste for .25

1 tube of Crest toothpaste free

1 very large bottle of Pert Plus shampoo for 1.34

1 large bottle of Pert Plus shampoo for .88

4 bottles of Elmer's glue free

3 packs of ink pens free

    1 pencil sharpener free

    1 box colored pencils free

1 box of 24 pencils free

10 64oz bottles of 100% apple juice for .89 each

4 boxes of pop tarts at .99 each(a treat for my kids)

4 4lb. bags of sugar for .99 each

1 18oz jar of Jif peanut butter for 1.58

1 18oz jar of Jif peanut butter for .58

    I still need......

baking supplies like chocolate chips, vanilla, canned pumpkin, etc.

Well I added some things that were ok prices but not necessarily great deals.

    3 10lb bags of sugar at $3.99
2 big containers of oatmeal at $1.99
4 lbx. of light butter at $2.00
3 bags of lentils at .89

It hasn't really been a stockpiling month so far but I did notice a few things in the adds today that I'll get later in the week.

This would be very short term stockpile, and not something I would usually count, but I got medium eggs for .68 a dozen - I bought two. So have almost 3 dozen eggs, which is considerably more than I usually have on hand. Egg salad sandwiches, comin' up!

Just a very few items for my stockpile, the rest we will eat! Plus, I am sending 2 off to college this week, so many of the groceries are going with them.
1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can baked beans
    2 pkgs soft taco dinner

I always buy 2 or more canned goods every week (for the stockpile). It really adds up, my shelves are groaning! So, for those who don't have the extra $$$ to buy many items, just start out small this week!
Bought my new oven 1/08 and loving it!

I do this on really lean weeks also! It seems like nothing as you are doing it, but it really can add up as long as you put it aside as stockpile.

I just got back from the $Tree. I bought 6 resealable, pourable 1qt containers of chicken broth. If i could have gotten down on my knees, I would have bought all they had on their shelves. Last week I bought 3 beef broth. All for stocking up.....

6 large bottles of hot pepper sauce at $.50 a bottle (Although not planned, it was perfect timing, as the last bottle was empty.) Regular price is $2.00 a bottle. This will last about a year. I have one kid that puts this stuff on everything!
4 cans of mixed veggies at $.49 a can
3-2lb bags of jasmine rice at $.59 each
12-3 oz pouches of tuna at .47 each
4-12 oz bags of tri-colored pasta at $.50 each
1-5 lb bag of sugar at $2.29
    All prices after coupons.
    Freezer:
    family pack of chicken drumsticks $.99/lb $3.75 less $2.00 c/o = $1.75
    famly pack of chicken thighs $.99/lb $4.40 less $2.00 c/o = $2.40

This month I'm adding to my stockpile. The deals I've gotten aren't as good as some, but decent enough.

    6 Prego sauce $1.66 each
10 Campbells Healthly Request soup $1 each
Also used $5 in coupons for above purchases, hadn't figured that into each price
    2 18 oz Jif $2 each
    2 large (16oz?) spaghetti noodles $1 each
3 12pack sodas $2.75 each (for work... bad habit )
    8 roll papertowels $4.99
    4 boxes Klenex $1.25 each
    3 4.6oz Crest ProHealth $1 each
    2 Oral B toothbrushes $1 each
    2 18oz Sauve lotion $1.84 each (after 2 $1 coupons)

Looking for sales on: canned veggie, cheese (sliced & chunk) & lunch items. I'm almost at my total for August, so I need to slow down.
