I was so angry at the post office!!!
They delivered my sales ads AFTER most had gone off and I had a $5 off $50 or more at the grocery store and I got it the day AFTER I shopped and the day BEFORE the ad ran out.
Lucky I got this weeks on time and it has another coupon.
What is the point in even delivering them if they are only good for the recycle bin!?
grrrrrrr

That is weird! You might want to let the store know that you didn't get your flier on time. First off, they might be ticked enough to say something to the PO, and second, they might still honor the coupon, since it was delivered late! You never know!

Yes, I would tell the store. I just got a coupon from JCPenny's and it says on the top (in tiny print) that if I got this coupon after the sale dates to just bring it in and they'd still honor it.

I don't blame you a bit for being mad. Our mail service here is spotty at best. I would tell the store. I have found that complaining ti the Post Office directly does little good. Going to the sender seems to work better. They have more pull than just a box holder.

Just another reason to boycott the USPS.

Are you sure its the USPS fault? If the vendors shipped the ads late, the USPS isn't gonna speed up its bulk mail just for them...

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I think that since ALL the ads were late it had to be the post office. Some of the ads had already gone off 3 days before and I always get my ads on Wednesday.

since it is bulk mail they can hold it for 30 days before delivery, i dont know what was going on but maybe they were swamped in mail and didnt have time to throw them. And yes fliers do get there late due to unforseen reasons.

I know a few years back this was happening to me. My newspaper would even be a day late. ( our town only has a newspaper on two days a week) I called the post office and complained and I never had that problem again. Of course I live in a town of less than 10,000 for half the year and then it doubles in the summer. So not a big town.

We had the same happen with the paper deliverer. There was a sale with a $5 off coupon for Friday only in one of the sale ads and the flier didn't come until the following Monday in with the weekly paper. Their loss!

I'm angry at the post office for continuing to deliver my parcels next door and delivering their's to my house. They've done it twice in one week's time. They make too much money to not even be bothered to read the addy on the parcels! What if they send it to someone who doesn't care to give it to me and they keep it?

A while back I odered some stuff through UPS. I gave them the details, green house, last on left across from blue house. The address is on a big sign in the yard and our name on a rock at the bottom of the yard. Our property is 1/5 of an acre. They delivered the package to last house BLUE house on the right, in the dead of winter in a snow drift mind you not on the neighbors porch. . Not only could the guy not read he was color blind and didn't know his right from left.

All of our flyers are handled by separate carriers. I get my flyers on Thursdays and Saturdays, so I have them by the time I go shopping on Saturdays. I'd be irate too if someone delivered my stuff late!
The post office here has gotten our mail mixed up sometimes, but it happens so little that it's not a big deal. We usually give each other our mail when we get it. If the mail is delivered at night (like with UPS), we leave the porch light on and the delivery man will ring the doorbell if it doesn't need to be signed. If it needs to be signed, they'll leave us a yellow card and I always have a tracking number.
If I don't get my store flyer before I go shopping, I check online and get there early so I can snag the circular that has coupons on it. Superstore has some great things that I stockpile and when they have $30 off a $250 bill, I'm sure to take it.

Our postal carrier taped a card on the door of the mailbox with everyone's name at our house who gets mail and STILL we get mail for people who moved from here years(10) ago.
