Default I posted my first stockpiling album today...

I took inventory today and snapped some pics. Thought I'd share! I'm thinking about making some changes, but wanted to have these pics on file. They can be seen HERE.
Gotta say, I love looking at stockpile pics!

    Thumbs up

Excellent! Looks great!!! I love the variety! I think most people think of stockpiling and only think of having 100 cans of the same items, which is very beneficial.

But I think, as Cricketlegs mentioned in her thread, that having a better variety and *then* building on that is more important.

Oh & I saw your note on the spice & seasonings cabinet.
I got this idea from another website:funwithfoodstorage.com.

But a couple of those cheapie, inexpensive plastic 'shoe box' type boxes and place like things together, so essentially you would have:
baking box-oil, pam spray, baking powder, baking soda, honey, molasses, flavorings, sprinkles, etc.

sauce box-soy sauce, hot sauce, etc.

She even has some stored in her fridge, she has a:
sandwich making box-mayonnaise, mustard, pickles, luncheon meat, cheese, etc.

The idea behind that is so that you can just pull an entire box out, have everything you need at hand & then place it all back in, all at once.

I thought it was an ingenious idea myself!

Thanks so much for taking all those pictures & sharing with us.
I love to see what other people store, and where they store it all.

Edited to say-Durh! I see that you also had that idea. I didn't see it until I got almost all the way through to the end.
But you could continue that idea with the seasoning cabinet, just maybe use the smaller boxes?
    Excellent organization!!

Thanks for the encouragement and tips everyone! If there are any other suggestions, would love to hear them. I am going to see if I have any other place for the dishes, but unfortunately I don't think I do. That's the third place they landed and I've already freecycled what I didn't want. *sigh* But, I still have the top shelf pretty much empty! Thanks again!

It looks like you have done a great job. I am sure it makes you feel good just looking at all you have. I do have one suggestion. It appears you still have the bands on your jars of home-canned goods. It is better to remove these as soon as they are cool. They can rust and be a real pain to get off later. Taking them off also lets you check for a good seal. I have thought jars were sealed only to have the lids pop off when I removed the bans. If you do this soon enough, you can either re-can the contents or eat them fresh.
