I went and picked strawberries yesterday. I thought about drying some, but decided to freeze them.

I have some $3.50 coupons off 2 Splenda ( hubby diabetic ). Walmart has it right now, the big bags, for $5.98. The coupons would bring it down to $4.23 a bag. It's went up alot here. Take advantage of them before they expire as it stays good forever.

I have the Food Saver also. With the price of the bags I only use it for stuff I know will be in the freezer for longer term or longer shelf. Otherwise I use Ziplock

(My apologies to marlas1too for this slight hijack to you're thread)

I higly recommend this seller on ebay, we buy from him & have saved tons of money by buying the rolls of bags and then just cutting them to the size we need~~
