My stockpile
I have been slowly trying to go through and organize the stockpile, and today I got the shelves in the laundry room organized. I feel like I might be actually starting to make some progress.
I still have 1 shelf on the other side of the laundry room and the kitchen cupboards which are absolutely disastrous.
But I figured it if I posted the pics of what is done I might stay motivated to finish it. I hope!!
I have 3 shelves screwed to the wall between my upright freezer and stacking washer/dryer. The round 5 gallon buckets are for my homemade laundry soap. The white square buckets are all labelled to find stuff easier, the one with baking supplies has pkgs of chocolate chips, nuts, etc. The glass jars hold stuff like powdered milk, cocoa powder, popcorn kernels, powdered cheese, lentils, wheat germ and raisins. The big grey bucket on the bottom holds dog food otherwise our cats rip open the bags.
The mess of stuff on top of the shelves is all the cake decorating stuff I have.

We had mice in the house when we moved in and around here the ants are horrendous so I decided we needed to store everything in hard containers instead of the bags they come in. As a side benefit it is way easier to organize and keep neat.

Nice you have a great set up! You have motivated me to get organized too. Do you store packages in the buckets or take everything out and take out when you need it? Just curious. Thanks for the great ideas and pics.
Becky

looks great! Where do you get the white buckets? They look easier to store than the round ones.

The baking supply bucket has pkgs of chocolate chips and nuts, stuff like that. But the other stuff I just dump the whole pkg in. A 10 kg bag fills the bucket about 3/4 full so I don't keep the pkg.
I got the buckets from the Safeway bakery. One of the bakers doesn't like to give them up so I only ask if they have any when the other guy is working. Sometimes they don't have any but sometimes I get lucky. There are a few places online that sell them too if you search for square 5 gallon buckets.
