Just wondering if you went? I think I might be asking our BIL if he can go to the Winco in Ogden, UT before he comes out to visit. We will have to send him money for it, and I would love to get an idea of how much to send.

Thank you Julie, that is very helpful!
WOW are the blueberries expensive or what? That is more expensive than the Costco price of $6.95 a pound!
And Costco's raisins beat the price as well at $1.55 a lb
Costco honey - is $2.00 a lb.
Too bad they do not have dried strawberries or dried apples
Thanks again!

Thank you so much, this helps tremendously! And it does seem as though the prices have definitely gone up since last year. Sad but true. I do not think that the prices are that much different at the different Winco's so those prices will be pretty much the same.
Just to show you the differences:
Last year hot cocoa was 1.06, this year 1.28 - pretty significant jump!
I guess I will have to start checking other places to see if there are better prices, however, I don't think there are.
But again, thank you so much.

not a problem, I wish I could have gotten there sooner. Your post actually came at a great time. I am planning a comprehensive list of bulk prices for a blog post so I was planning on getting most of those prices anyway

BTW- I love your blog. It is so much fun to follow your journey!Brandi

WinCo Bulk Price List
laura-n-sasha,
I know I am responding to an old post but this information may help you.
I made a complete bulk WinCo list a year ago and somehow it hovered around the internet quite a bit, so I've made a bulk foods savvy blog with WinCo's bulk section price list on blogspot. I had such a demand in my community for an updated list, that I just made a blog of it, updated WinCo's prices once a month. If you wanted to email me personally, I could email the list to you as well. Just to let you know though, I'm not sure what states the prices are good for beyond Idaho and Utah. Arizona is so close to Utah that the prices are probably similar, if not the same. As for driving that far for bulk items, I don't think it is worth it.
Do you in a rural community or do you have major food chains in your area? The prices of bulk items have been fluctuating up and down quite frequently these past several months, so it's hard to say where you could ultimately get the best deal, but here are some things that I have found:
Costco currently has better deals than WinCo for a lot of the nuts and dried fruit items. Sam's Club may be similar.
You may want to check into Azure Standard and see if they come to your area. They have a lot of bulk food selections on their website (some expensive and some not) with different quantities to choose from. They will deliver your order to a nearby destination from your home and the actual freight/gas charges are pretty minimal. For me, I believe an order over $250 has a 5% freight charge, but the items are tax free, so it's way worth it. If the 5% charge min order amount it too much, ask around and see if someone wants to go in with you on your order.
I've been involved with group orders which came direct from the farmer. He provided a whole list of grains, flax, and beans to choose from and the prices surpassed anything else I could find. Sometimes they can be a little tricky to find, but several areas have forums, blogs, and such, so don't give up.
USA emergency supply may be helpful, but the shipping may be a lot.
If I have any other suggestions that come to mind, I'll let you know.
I hope this helps!

I am new to this forum and have only subscribed to one other forum previously with different rules. I have to formally apologize about directing you to my blog. I scanned over the user agreement and I thought that I may be within their approved guidelines, but after re-reading, I may not be. I am still unsure, but nevertheless, I am sending out an apology. I don't know how to edit my post now that it has posted "permanently" so any help would be appreciated. I also have to say that I have no affiliation with WinCo Foods. Anyone who has contacted them can vouch for that, so my blog in no way reaps any reward or compensation of any kind.

Bulk Food Savvy - thanks for posting, I was able to find your blogspot and just read through it. Great job.
I too have found Costco and Sam's Club to have better prices on certain things. I would bet the rice is also a good deal, but I think I would have problems getting 50 lbs of rice!
But they have good prices on tons of the things we get.
We also have a Sunflower Market near us now that we moved back to Lake Mead National Recreation Area for the winter. I could probably get quite a bit of the bulk foods there, but I am also going to check out Azure again. We shall see.
Thank you again for your post. I will be checking you out when we start doing our major shopping next year.

I just found out this week that WinCo is going to have two NEW stores in the Las Vegas Area, they are actually looking for people to work there! So if there is anyone here on the forums that needs a job in the Las Vegas area, I would strongly suggest working for them. Hopefully, before we leave here, we will have a store up and running for us to shop at before we go to the Grand Canyon in the spring. !!!
