Use a lot of vinegar? Cheap staples?
I use it for cleaning and I put some in every load of laundry..I'm wondering how much everyone else has stored.
Also, where's a cheaper place to get stuff like vinegar, baking soda, washing.g soda, borax, etc.

Buy the giant jars from Costco. I keep a big bottle in my laundry room, and then fill smaller bottles for both bathrooms, the kitchen, etc. I use it for so much.

Do you all who use vinegar in laundry, cleaning, etc., use red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar? I can get red for €0.24/bottle but white is significantly more expensive (4x more!) so if I can use red I would rather - would it discolor clothes? The main reason I haven't tried is I keep seeing people mention "vinegar" but no one ever says what kind. I have five kinds of vinegar in my cabinet... (red wine, white wine, apple, rice, and balsamic haha!)

I'm guessing most people are talking about white distilled vinegar. It should be cheaper than all the other kinds you referenced.

I buy it by the gallon.
I use vinegar & baking soda to clean with. I buy baking soda & vinegar from Sam's - that's the cheapest I can ind.
Washing Soda & Borax I get from the grocery store. I've not checked the price at Walmart - it may be less expensive, not sure.

I use white vinegar in my rinse cycle of the washer. I just read you can use it to clean the floors. I plan on getting a couple of gallons to make cleaning supplies with it. I just hope the cost doesn't get higher.

I've never seen that kind of vinegar in Greece
I've only seen vinegar in the "food vinegar" section of the store, and they only have the kinds I mentioned (red wine, white wine, etc). That makes me sad.... White wine vinegar is too expensive for these uses.

is the "food vinegar" a white vinegar? If so, that may be what we are talking about.

oh I meant that the only vinegars in the store are all together and they are the ones I listed - there is no "plain ol' vinegar" on offer. But perhaps I just need to search around a bit. The largest bottle of vinegar I can find is half a liter - which is not very much. I did find 2 liters of red wine vinegar but it was a restaurant supply store. However, red wine vinegar is extremely cheap, so I can use that instead of the kind you guys use - but probably not in the laundry I would imagine.
