    Default FINALLY...some decent sales

With Christmas "around the corner" the local grocery sales have baking supplies on sale this week. I'm dumping some money into flour, butter and sugar - these are the best prices I've seen in months on these items...

Be sure and check your fliers!!!

    Best local prices:

22 lb bag of flour $8.99
    Crisco 1 lb $1.99
    Butter 1 lb $2.47
    Sugar 9 lb $3.47

We have one store that is having a deal this week. Spend $ 30 and you can then buy one each of the following. 5 # flour for 98 cents. Butter 1 # for 1.48, and 5 # sugar for .98.
So in order to get the $ 30 part added up , I bought 3 of the 34 oz Folgers for $ 7 each, and a pkg of meat that was marked down.

Dollar General has Libbys can veggies at 50 cents each.
Also the $ 7 price for the Folgers. And margerine 3 for $ 2.
I got their coupon for saturday, spend 25 $, get 5 $ off.
I probably will get a few more cans of the coffee and probably more of the canned corn, saturday.

Save A Lot has butter at $ 1.99 a pound currently.

I finally got a deal at a store here, canned veggies 3@$1.00. Got a case of cut green beans,2 of whole corn, 2 of french style green beans and peas. That should last for awhile.

I havent seen prices that low for a couple years. I was going to buy the del monte for .49 a can. Boy am I glad I looked at the other flyier.

I don't see any sugar or butter on sale here, those are some good prices, I will watch for them to go on sale here.

Other deal I got this week was pork loin at $ 1.99 a pound.
    Sav A Lot grocery store.

Aldi's is now having a special promotion meat sale, which starts on wednesdays and till they run out.
This week was Tyson chicken breast ( bone and skin on ) for .89 a pound. Each pkg had 2 breasts and was about $ 2 + or -
I ended up with about 30 pounds total. When I got home, each original pkg went into a gallon freezer bag.

I got boneless skinless chicken breast for 1.38 a lb at Wal-mart yesterday. I bought about a little over 30 lbs yesterday. I also matched the Kroger price on the cambells cream of chicken soup and then I had 2 coupons for 30 cents off 4 so that made each can 31 1/2 cent a can. TC

Today I went to the Dollar General to use the $ 5 coupon off if you spend $ 25 on saturday. I bought 3 of the 34 oz Folgers at $ 7 each and then 8 cans of Libbys corn at 50 cents each.
So that made the corn 40 cents each, and the coffee $ 5.60 each. Works for me

I stopped at the church rummage sale and today was day 3 , so markdowns. They had 1 pound pkgs of Mueller spaghetti at $ 1 each and I am standing there watching the woman mark the box down 1/2 price. I then picked the box up with the last 14 pkgs they had
