Default A new year, a new stockpile, let the games begin!

    Here I go-

I went to Walmart and got my 2 double issue Dallas papers. That gave me 16 insert coupon packs.

    $10

Looked at my ads and decided on Family Dollar over Target, CVS and the dreaded Walgreens and Walmart.

    I got:

    4 packs of Tampax pearl
    4 dawn dish soaps
    4 always Infinity pads
2 old spice swagger body washes
2 old spice swagger body sprays

    Total spent:
    $28.78

Total coupon savings along with sales:
    $26.25

One of my $2 coupons somehow didn't get scanned. They were having computer problems and the store policy made them ring me up in 4 separate transactions even though my coupons were all in compliance to the rules.

    I am doing a 4 month food stockpile and a 1 year HBA,household stockpile.

In addition I have 14 bottles of dish soap so that part of my pile is complete.

The math never lies, budget in INK!

Amount of Free items 2012 $391.33

    Debt #2 12/31/12 CC $901.88
    Debt #3 12/31/12 $3648.83

Madness, mayhem chaos...my work here is done!

DD was running around with my sister so I sent 4\.40 cent off each coupons with her and tols her if she saw Soft Soap anywhere for under $1.00 to get for and gave her $4.00 to cover it.

She found them at Walmart for .98 cents each.

    4 soft soap hand soap

cost with Texas sales tax $4.25

    after coupons $2.65

    Another $1.60 saved

My new Free Savings Total $27.95

I wish you could have seen my years stockpile from before. It was a sight to behold!

Sadly, I got my Krogers ad after dd went shopping--Soft soap 88 cents a bottle. I lost .40 cents on shopping Walmart everyday price over Krogers sale price.

So I decided to spend about $20 yesterday on items I need and the stockpile.

Okay I spent 3 days at home and I wanted OUT of the house so I was trying to let it be beneficial to the household budget and not buy something like crafts etc.

First I went to Super One Foods

Heafty 1 gallon 1-zip freezer bags
Heafty 1 qt 1-zip freezer bags
4 bottles Sun Burst HE laundry soap

    Spent $12.86
Total free $2.48 (sales and coupon)

I also took advantage of the store being quiet and wrote down the sizes and everyday non sale prices of all paper napkins for the price book and when I got home dd helped me get a good app for my Blackberry that lists store items for multiple stores and their prices which can also be sent to my email for my hard paper copy in case something happens to my phone.

I plan on getting a tablet which will be better later but I am using what I have.

    NEXT!

I went to the dreaded Walgreens because of their coupon booklet this month. Now According to a site I went to the Studio nail polish remover was said to be FREE but they must have caught that one and fixed it right up....grrrrr

    So...

    Studio 35 nailpolish remover 1.79
sore throat spray(not for stockpile, dh needed that NOW)4.99
3 bags walgreens cough drops $.99 each

    The information:

The cough drops were buy 2 get 1 free. I had $1.00 off the nail polish remover. The sore throat spray I just had to buy.

    Spent $7.83
    Total free $2.59

So Totals for both free $5.07

I'm really itching to get to cvs and get some ecb bucks behind me again. (I gave most of what I had to my dd so she could buy some gifts for her brothers on her dads side of her family for the holidays)

My dd is such a sweetie and since we started this coupon/ savings trip she has been with me working and learning 100% of the way.

I can go through $20 preTTYYYYYYY fast lol! As you see on my last trip I spent $20 and only got $5 in free stuff but I think that's realistic. Extreme coupon is a joke.

I know for a fact that I do NOT need 96 candy bars and 244 power aides!

Cricket needs TP and laundry soap! LOL

i love to read about what people add to their stockpiles...gives me ideas on things i might forget....income tax return will be coming in the first of february and i have told dh that i would apreciate if we didnt blow it on junk...take some and reinvest in his woodworking stuff would be appropriate and add some to the stockpile and put the rest away for whatever it is NEEDED for...he agrees...

So I started my grocery shopping and couponing for the month yesterday.

I went to Drug Emporium but didn't really have any thing there to add to my amount(but I did drop a heafty amount of my allowance there) I saved About $6 on my purfume. I'm not going to add it to my totals here.

Next we went to Super One Foods for the 5 for $20 meat sale.
    11 ground beef
    2 steaks
    5 chicken tenderloins boneless
    2 chicken breast bone in
    6 lbs ground turkey
    1 whole hen
1 package of jenny o turkey burger patties

    I also bought a 2 and 1/2 dozen eggs

    I saved $30.71

    Next we went to cvs

    We got
    2 head and shoulders
3 pantene products--shampoo, conditioner, style product
    3 Aussie products--just style products
    1 12 pack of TP
    4 toothbrushes
    4 tides
5 packs of batteries( 4 are 4 packs that my dd got for .44 cents each -- 1 was an 8 pack duracell)

    our savings there was $82.79

I did get a $10 gift card but won't add that here and will wait until I use it and it reflects on my receipt. We also ended up with 8 ECBs for next trip too!

Then finally we went to Brookshires who still doubles and triples. We didn't have much luck with coupons but the buy one get one for 1 cent was great and they didn't jack the prices up too much...lol

    Brookshires savings $42.61

I'm not going to list my groceries....I did end up with 24 rolls of TP from Brookshires for $7.47!

    so my total yesterday-- $156.11

Now I had done some math wrong with my original total(blah) so I've made a slight correction.

Total saved and free stuff $ 189.03 (spent if my math is correct $283.51)

We still have Krogers to go to today.

Most of the money is groceries. So my spent amount is going to be much higher than my saved. I have $240 left to spend on groceries to day so I hope I get a good bang for my buck. Now I need to get dressed and go get my newspapers for my coupons!

Okay I went to Krogers. My coupon deals were pretty lame but I did try and take advantage of sales. I wasn't gone to Krogers just to coupon, this was part of my monthly grocery shopping so if I needed crackers, there was no sale or coupons I just got the best deal I could.

    $33.66 in savings

    I spent $220.55

My new free and saved total for 2012 is $222.69.

I am out of grocery money and maybe coupon money so given that the budget is the boss I am pretty much done for the month.

Well we got our last check of the month and while it was enough to cover the rest of my bills and put $400 into savings there just isn't much left(cue tumbling tumble weeds rolling through my bank account). I do plan to run to Sams today to get an 80 package of keurig k-cups but there will be no "savings" there past the initial fact that it is cheaper to buy them in bulk.

I had budgeted $100 in gas for both mine and dds car but only spent $28 filling mine so I will throw the extra towards the k-cups. Still have to haul my cookies back down to fill up dds car. Blah...a Mama's job is NEVER done.

Don't look for any more posts of coupon savings this month--I'm busted!
