Default For those that stockpile pet food, how do you store it?

Do you just leave it in the bag/package it came in, or do you put the bag inside another container to keep mice/bugs/pets from getting into it. I'm considering putting it in a new metal or Rubbermaid trash can, but that's going to look so tacky in my guest bedroom. LOL

I have my dog food in another container and I am getting one for the cat food this week I hope to at least. I want to be able to not have to keep the bags or worry about bugs. I do have a tote in the basement that has the extra bags in it that I don't have room for in the container yet but for opened ones I put in the containers. Hope that makes sense.

I keep it in large galvanized trash cans. I put the bags in the can. I have used plastic before and the mice chewed through the bottom of the can.
I keep them in the garage.

I bought a big (kitchen-sized) blue trashcan with a lid and we put the bags inside the trashcan. I made labels for the top and front so nobody mistakes it for the trash can. It sits near my kitchen table in the "morning room" by the cats' bowls, and it's not the prettiest thing, but it works.
