I don't do sewing, knitting or scrap booking, but I do like to draw, and color with prismacolor colored pencils and as some of you might know those are EXPENSIVE pencils. I found a 12 pack at goodwill the other day for .99! I now plan on stocking up whenever I see drawing supplies, x-acto knives, prismacolor pencils and sketch pads.

I don't have enough to last forever, but it would be awhile before I needed more!

I think I'm pretty much set with yarn to last for years. Fabric....I could make tons of quilt tops, but I would like to have at least a couple packages of batting tucked away. I'm waiting for another really good sale to get some backing fabric too. I have plenty of hand quilting thread though. Beads, I think I'm pretty set on beads as well. Sewing needles...I could probably due with a little more machine thread and sewing machine needles.

I have a rather large "stockpile" in my scrapbooking room too so I have made a New Years Resolution not to buy scrapbooking supplies in 2009.

The only things I can buy are tool replacements (blades and cricut mats), adhesive and albums/plastic sleeves but the rest of the stuff I need to use out of my stash. lol We will see how that goes.

My thoughts exactly. I have enough scrapbook stuff except adhesive to last about 2 years non stop and enough stamps that if I never bought another stamp again I could stamp into the next lifetime.

I am the former owner of a cross stitch shop so I wont even tell you how much stuff I have of those things.

I have a big stash of yarn.....or so, I think.
I crochet, hand knit, and machine knit. I thought my stash was good enough, but now that I have started the machine knitting, I am beginning to question the size of this pile. Hopefully in a few months, I will know more.
Going to downsize the pile as much as I can, and then take inventory to fill in colors where I need to. Then I will have a excuse to go yarn shopping....

I found this thread again and found what I had posted sometime back. I still have enough of most things to do for years. The bad thing is I have been buying again. This reminds me that I need to stop. So I am going to make that one of my goals for the new year. Not to buy any craft supplies unless it is absolutely necessary to complete a project I am already doing. I really need to save money.

This is one of the best threads I've read. Now I have an excuse for having all the quilting material I have and all the scrapbooking stuff I have - it's for stockpiling. I love it.

My excuse for scrapbooking is dd and I both do it - so we need more stuff. I don't have an excuse for the quilting material I have.

When we moved to where we are now, dh had to rent a truck to haul all the wood he had in his workshop. We've been here 7 years and he is still using it. I tease him all the time about that truck when he reminds me of the material I have. I have challenged myself though to not spend over $500 in the next year on material. I haven' challenged myself when it comes to scrapbooking yet.

I just started knitted and crocheting again. When we moved three years ago I gave away obnoxious amounts of yarn, but now don't have much at all. So -- I just made a little trip to the store for a few skeins to do some charity knitting. With that, what I have for my afghan, and a few other skeins, I have enough for a few months. (I miss my stash!)

I was just thinking about this. I have a stash of yarn from my spendy days that I've been working out of, but it would probably be a good idea to start collecting coupons and picking up a pounder skein from time to time.

A couple of years ago, I gave away all my yarn and fabric, and if this had come up a little earlier I could that my craft supply was frugally very bare, since I wasn't really doing any. Then I started crocheting again, and already the yarn is, uh, multiplying. I'm sure before long before I will have what seems to be the typical FV craft stockpile again.

Stockpile is such a MUCH nicer word that addiction. Stockpiles are GOOD.
