    Default Craft Supply Stockpiling??

Just a question that I thought that I would throw out here....
We pretty much have stockpiles of food, toiletries, & household stuff....how many of us have a stockpile of craft supplies & how long do you think your stockpiles will last?

I have at least a yrs. supply of yarn(that was given to me) & at least a year's worth of denim & flannel material to make quilts & a few odds & ends to make other crafts.

I have enough scrapbooking supplies to last me several, several years even if I did at least a page a day on average.

I have enough denim for a quit or two. At the pace I work on them, that will last me a year or two.

I have enough misc fabric pieces to make a few totes, throw pillows, place mats, table runners, purses. At my pace, that will last for years.

I scored some fleece today at a yard sale that will make two double sided blankets or four singles. It should take me a couple of months to get around to starting and then finishing them.

I actually gave away a good bit of yard, knitting needles and a knitting book a few weeks ago. I knew someone else could get more use out of it than I would.

I don't work very fast or often on anything except scrapbooking. Everything else I work on here and there so the supplies last forever.

I'm embarassed to say that I have enough scrapbook supplies, well, for forever. I would just need adhesive and albums, other than that, I'm ready!

Funny you should bring this up. I make candles as part time job and I just got notice that candle wax is going up yet again! This is the second since the beginning of the year! I've been looking into buying directly from the manufacturer or other cheaper supplier and starting my own wax stash.

Yea, sure, I'll say that my scrapbook supply purchases are due to stockpiling......yea, that's it!
Basically, I have a sickness and I have to stay out of the scrapbook stores. I went in the other week after not letting myself go in for at least a year, and dropped 57.00.

I am glad I am not the only one that has lots of craft supplies. Okay i have 4 good size totes of yarn, i have enough fabric for shopping bags and tote bags. Then i have left over scrapbooking supplies from altered clipboards i made two years ago as gifts. Today I went to a rummage sale where you filled a paper bag for a dollar. So i grabbed denim jeans to someday make a quilt. I will be so proud of myself if i can use up some of the stockpile for gifts.

~I don't stockpile purposely but I cannot say no to inexpensive, fabulous fabric. I mostly reconstruct clothes into new stuff so I don't need to stockpile clothes but I do. I have 4 totes crammed full of clothes with 'possibilities'. And I just bought more stuff today. If anything, I need to stockpile machine needles and thread. The last time I 'stockpiled' needles was 11 years ago!~

I have enough yarn, fabric and cross stitching materials to last me forever. I used to think this was a bad thing but with hobby shops and my Wal-Mart having a smaller craft aisle - I now think this is a good thing

    Default You said it sister...

I've got all that and boxes of cotton quilting fabric, remnants of silk taffetas (I make Civil War reproduction clothing for a living), crochet cotten, hooks, needles, drop spindles, rovings, 3 sewing machines, and about 40 unfinished projects

I have enough scrapbook supplies to last for about 10 years. Only buy paper when it is on sale. Have enough yarn, cloth, stitching stuff to last for about 10-15 years.

I have enough quilting fabric for a few years. Enough yarn for many many years. Cross stitch supplies for years, Scrap booking supplies for about 6-8 months, and clothing fabric for a year or so. I have stopped buying anything but necessities this year though.
