I am a new member - just a few days, but I come here every day and find I learn new things each visit. I just turned 60 years old and have spent much of my life working on financial matters but nevertheless find I learn from all the members here!

I am addicted. I donīt have any frugal friends, so this place is great for me. I love the debates too, and arcade.

I am new to the site and trying to soak in all the info. I have been on here way to much since I've found it. As you can see it's now almost 3:30, I should have been in bed hours ago. I put the kids to bed and got on to learn more. I got addicted so quickly. I need to cut back ....is there a point I'll get caught up and won't need to be on every spare minute?

i learn so much. even though we occasionally get on each others nerves and have heated arguments.
where else do i post my financial dealings for all the world to see?11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Yes I am addicted too. I do check this site several times per day unless I'm not home.
One thing I won't give up is my DSL. I gave up DirecTV earlier this week. I'd have to be starving to give that up. Even then, I could live a while on the fat on me. LOL
