We did it! We are debt free!
I wrote the last check for our last debt today. I had planned to put it off, with DH out of work, and just pay the minimum, but I went and looked it up online to see what it was and it was only $184. So I wrote the check.
From here on out it is only utilities, food, taxes, and maintenance on the house and car.
Folks, 8 years ago we were in a very bad spot. We had maxed out credit cards, loans, and legal problems. We owned no property. (Which in a way was good, because then it couldn't be seized) I don't know how we did it, but we survived 11 months with DH out of work. It was ugly.
And now here we are today. I think I'm in shock.Use it up, Wear it out,
Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown
