Default another one bites the dust

[disco music]And another one's gone, and another one's gone, another one bites the dust![/disco music]

Paid off another store card last weekend. Two more store cards to go, then we each have a bank card, one car loan, wife's student loans before moving on to the next step. I'm adding to my adjunct teaching load next semester and trying to add part-time employment in the public sector to start making qualifying payments for the public service student loan forgiveness program.

I'm having a hard time getting a straight answer out of my employer regarding how many hours per week of work time my adjunct contract translates to, but I have one last contact in HR to email before getting creative.

Been away for a bit, might remain in lurk mode after this too - teaching, even part-time teaching is very time consuming. I'm also spending some time doing career and education research trying to figure out what I might be successful at next. Leaning towards retraining to environmental sector if I don't land a full-time community college instructor position.

Continuing with my exercise and nutrition changes to work towards making myself eligible for Army officer direct commission. If Army doesn't want me, USPHS is my second choice. Exercising is primarily the Olympic lifts (barbells). As of last work out I'm (lbs) bench pressing 205, squatting 205, deadlifting 145 and (standing overhead) pressing 95. Using "Starting Strength" by Rippetoe to learn form for the exercises. I've only ever done the bench press prior to a couple months ago.

From Sept to Oct (first week each) I lost 3% body fat according to DoD tape test.

This is probably as good a summary as I can give now. Hope you all are doing well!

I was born in 1974, how am I to know disco music from Queen? Isn't Queen to disco music as Lynyrd Skynyrd is to country music?

If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
