Almost Unofficially Debt-Free!
Almost -- because we will pay off the credit union for OldMan's car on Thursday when he walks in with $8400 in cash! NO MORE 11.99% Interest!!!! We couldn't pay principal only payments, so it didn't matter how much we threw at it or how often... the balance barely moved.
Unofficially - because I pulled $8400 from the HELOC at 2.99%.
I already have $1000 sitting in the bank waiting to go towards the debt on Monday. It was originally going to go to the CU, but.. WHY when I can pay a much lower rate with the HELOC.
So... get those poodle skirts ready because we're ALMOST THERE!
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Congratulations on that condition! Sounds vastly better off than where you were on that interest rate. Happy for you!

Doing the happy dance for you! Makes sense to me.
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.
