    Default Student Loan Paid

    Yay! I sent the final payment on my student loan yesterday. The darn thing had been around for years and was almost like a hungry puppy following me.

    The last loan in for my car. I hope to get that paid off in one year.

    Congratulations to you! I'm still paying on my student loans....it feels like the insurmountable mountain of debt sometimes. How long did it take you to pay yours off and how much student debt did you have? Any tips or strategies for those of us who are still working on paying our student loans back?

    I had been paying the normal payment for many years. About 7 months ago when there was $10,000 remaining I finally got serious on this loan. I had just finished paying off the credit cards and used the Dave Ramsey snowball plan, modified for my specific situation. I often made 2-3 payments online each month.
