    Default yay!

Well we got our home equity loan paid off with our tax check! Plus we ended up having enough left for my stepdaughter to go to the eye doctor and get new glasses and we had enough to pay house taxes, car and house insurance, license plates also! With all our credits we ended up getting more back than we paid in!
We had a rough time between aug 09 when my dh got laid off and when he got this decent paying job Feb 2011. So it is good to finally have some breathing room I am continuing to work as much as I ever have though just because I am hoping to get us out of debt by the end of the year. This will mean lots of work but I can finally see the work paying off I felt like we were just treading water there for a long time so its good to finally get a little "breakthrough" toward getting us somewhere.
I will admit however that I experienced "frugal fatigue" there for awhile and once we had a bit more coming in I did buy some frivolous things. Nothing big but I need to buckle down again. Get serious about gas usage, grocery bills, ect. I know I can get back on the wagon and get this debt knocked out!

    Wow that is fantastic.

We all suffer frugal fatigue on occasion. I'm just coming off a long stretch myself. I'm in the mood to kick it into high gear once again after seeing the pay off of all my hard work.

Congratulations!! I am so glad there is a phrase for it - frugal fatigue - helps me realize that it truly exists and is a short term thing!!

That is SO exciting, and even more, it's SO encouraging! We are treading water right now, and the fatigue is very real. We had so many visits from Murphy lately, it set us back more than $3,800. Even though we did have some BEF, unfortunately, we had no choice but to use several CCs for most of it. So time to start all over again, and ya know how hard that can be.....feels like you just want to quit.

So good timing on your post. It did me good to see your success. The great Vince Lombardi said "football is a game of inches", and always told his players to "run to daylight". Well I guess that should be my philosophy about this game of beating this big black hole we're in once again. At least I'm seeing from your post that it can be done! So BIG congrats, and thanks again for your great post! I really needed to see something like that.

Thanks everyone! Mama you can do it! I totally understand where you are coming from. I would get something done and something else came along. Plus with my dh being laid off we were lucky just to make our bills much less "get ahead" It was hard but we can both do it! I know we can
