Seeing the light of getting out of DEBT
My DH and I are finally making way on our debts. This month we paid off our Lawyer (1500.00),Braces for my Step Daughter (266.00) and good old land Taxes(986.00).
This month has been the TOUGHEST for us. We wanted to get these bills paid off before my step daughter goes to college in August. But before then I have set some more goals for us to try and make hopefully we can. We have one CC that is $500.00 and my Daughter school bill $750.00. These bills will be paid off in the month of June.
Does anyone else want to join me and pay off only two of their bills for the month of June?

I wish I had 2 bills small enough to pay off! Earlier this month it felt SO great paying off the $685 hospital bill we had, but in June, it won't be practical for us to be able to pay that much on something again.
How awesome that you have an end in sight!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I can't manage 2 bills...not sure if one is possible, but I'll give it a go! We have a Comp USA CC for $1250 we want to pay off. That's aimin' pretty high for us, but we'll certainly try hard!

You did super on paying things off! Way to go!!

I'm with ya! I just today paid off my income tax today -- $105.95. I actually had received a bill before income tax and it was for $64.00. I sent a letter to RCA and asked them to confirm that the amount owing had nothing to do with my ex-husband's finances. Of course, they never replied. The next one included the taxes I owed from this year, which was $104.xx. I again sent a letter to them, with still no reply.
Today I decided that, rather get into an audit, I'd just pay it off. But now the interest had brought it up to $105.95. Grrrrr!!! But I paid it off anyway. It probably doesn't have anything to do with my ex-husband anyway, since we didn't file jointly last year, since we were seperated. But it would've been nice to hear from them!
So that's one down. Right now I owe about $685.00 on my credit card, but I should be able to pay that off on Thursday when I get paid.
