Default Hanging in there - 4 months to go

I found this forum by accident but must say that I enjoy it a lot when I get on line.

I am getting a little frustrated but there are only four months left and we will be debt free. The only debt we have remaining right now is the mortgage and that will be paid off in October.

It has been a tough 3 years to pay off the following: vehicle, credit card bill from my Masters degree, children university tuition along with surprises such as the hot water tank, washer and dryer conking out etc.

Just writing about it is a bit of a relief. I am the one who is constantly reviewing all finances, bills, and adjusting the budgets and often feel like the nag in the family.

Frugal living will always be part of my lifestyle, but I will be looking forward to a celebration and planning for the next phase - frugal retirement.

Wishing all of you the best in your efforts to become debt free. Focus and determination go a long way and of course the support of friends and family.

It's a wonderful thing when you pay off that mortgage. Good for you getting it all done.
