    Default Saved $800 on insurance!

I'm so happy! Today I finalized our new auto and homeowners insurance, and we have saved over $800 a year! For years we stayed with the same company because we got a discount from them through our employer. Well, this year, after our auto rates went up $600, I started checking around to see if there were better deals out there. Lo and behold, we found that there were many, many better deals out there. I can't tell you how satisfying it was to call our old insurance company and tell them to cancel all of our policies effective 1/22/08. When they asked why, I told them it was because they jacked up our rates $600 without any warning, and that when I shopped around, I found we could save a boatload by insuring elsewhere!
