Reduced car insurance and cable payment in half.
Yesterday I got a quote from another car insurance company. For the same coverage, on the same vehicle, they have quoted me $104.00 for six months. The other insurance I had was for $206.00. Guess which one I'm going with. This is an older car so I just have the minimums on liability.
I cut my basic cable to local channels only which dropped my costs from $42.50 to $8.00 a month. You can't get the local stations here even with an antenna so I need to keep the local channels options.
In total savings for the year will be over $500.00. That's a lot of money!

Thats a nice chunk of change.
Did the insurance say what their usuall cost is for 6 months of coverage? I would be interested in seeing how much it jumps up if it does. The Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.

I didn't ask for any other quotes, just did an apples for apples on my policy with the other company on the car insurance.

Isn't that a great feeling? I did the same thing, but my big honkin truck still has a higher insurance premium than you started with.
I love paying $6 for TV, except I feel bad as I rarely watch it at home.
