    Default Fast money!

So far this weekend, I've made 80.00 by doing nothing! I listed two items on Craigslist (some patio chairs and a plant pedestal) and they sold within hours. And, I answered an ad for help packing a house for an elderly lady...I'll be doing that a few days this week. I always check the section under *Gigs* for domestic and labor help. I've gotten lots of quick little jobs helping people with laundry, packing, cleaning etc. I always make sure I'm paid in cash...it's quick easy money!

Very resourceful! I've sold a few things on craigslist, but I've never thought to check under the gigs section. That's neat!

You were very lucky to get such quick sales on craigslist and the quick gigs sound great!

Very cool! I checked the Craigslist here and there was a listing for someone who wants to pay to have someone with a standard transmission car teach them how to drive standard. Too bad we no longer have a car that's standard. Thanks for the idea, Stinkbug and congrats on making the extra money!

I am addicted to craigslist. LOL!! I religiously check gigs and also ETC for side jobs. I am really shocked by what some people pay to have done (load dresser on truck, clean out a microwave (not kidding))...

But also am sometimes surprised by what people pay, and not in a good way. There was an ad yesterday for a guy in Little River (a 20 mile drive) who wanted someone to clear out his brush pile he said it was a six or eight hour job for FORTY DOLLARS!! Thats some hard labor in this 85 degree heat for nothing (the gas to get there and back). I doubt he had many replies.

But I have found some good gigs. Ive never been brave enough to list anything for sale though, (people calling and coming to house would send out fits of anxiety) but maybe I should try it for the stuff tht I dont think is worth to try on ebay.

Good job on the fast cash!! Now lemme go look around for some stuff I dont need.....

I LOVED craigslist when I was in Portland because *everyone* uses it there. Here in central PA, just getting off the ground and probably won't ever be really big.

The most interesting gig I had was $100 to sing in a choir at a church's Easter service.
