A few extra bucks from aluminum cans.
If you do drink soft drinks then save those cans and sell them. We just sold $58.50 worth yesterday. I have a trash can set on the back porch with a bag in it. We just drop the cans in it and when its full bag them up and put them underneath the back deck. Very little work and a few extra bucks. My fil also saves them for us. Gather them up where you work. Pick them up along the road where people have thrown them out. You'll get some exercise and make a few dollaers.

Ooh I'm so envious of you who get money for soda cans!
In Oregon we did this to raise money for our orchestra trips. Here in PA we get no refund

The boys save cans here, and either put in savings or buy things they want. We are planning on taking them in this week.

Wish they paid .80 a # here! We're lucky if we get close to .40, but it all helps - we usually put the money we get from aluminum cans in our savings jar and put it towards our EF.

I don't know about how much they pay a # here, but we get 5 cents a can/bottle, and 10 cents for big bottles.

We get .05 for cans and bottles. Of course, we PAY that deposit when we purchase these as well. SO, if I am buying 12 packs, etc I buy them in RI where there is no deposit. This way I actually do make $$.

Last week I took 34 pounds in and was paid 75 cents a pound---$25.50 in cash!!! I was thrilled.
Pretty good return on something that's so easy to do.

Good idea. Every $1 helps.

We save our cans also. Hubby takes cans to work and is really good about bringing the empties back home.
I'm not sure of the price in our area right now. I think last time we hauled them off the price was around .60/pound. I know aluminum has been going up(like everything else) so at least this is one increase that helps us.
