ughhh! recycling prices

I recycle my aluminum cans and have done this for over 25 years. Last month I got .65 cents a pound. This week they dropped to .30 cents a pound!

I think I will wait a few more weeks and see if they go up. I swear I got more than this 25 years ago. What are you getting in your area?

we get 5cents for plastic bottles and cans. pop i mean and water.

Ok you win, I'll not complain. We don't get $$ for recycling anything but metals here. I guess we should be happy with what we do get out of it. It is after all extra cash.

I know what you mean Sassy. Ours was .75 cents a pound and last week it was down to .60 cents a lb. I'm just going to put mine in the shed until the prices start to peak again. We had a bunch of scrap from working on our cars and the kids and took it today and got $175. The guy said if we had brought it about 3 weeks ago we would have gotten double.
