InBox Dollars...
Does anyone here do InBox Dollars? If so, do you find it worth participating? I joined recently, but it sure seems like not many of the surveys are easy to finish and I'm finding that after I answer a few of the questions I end up not fitting the demographic...do you run into similar issues?

i belong to greenfield and survey spot... i don't seem to qualify for any of the surveys either... i was just telling dh last night that either
1) i'm too old...(i'm only 44 by the way... but not 22)...
2) they see my zip code and aren't interested in my hill-billy opinion...
or it just may be that:
3) they see that i don't ever 'actually' buy anything so i couldn't possibly have an opinion.... lol

I do Inbox Dollars, but primarily I just use the discounts when shopping. Because I use eBay and Petsmart, I take advantage of the 1-2% discounts if you go through Inbox Dollars.
I will admit that I sometimes fudge the stats on the surveys, because I was running into the same problems as you. I'd spend 3 minutes answering demographic questions, then be told I didn't qualify. I found that if you change your gender to male, you get in about 50% more. I am assuming it is because fewer men sign up for doing surveys than women, so the surveys don't fill that quota up as much. I know, I know, I am changing the face of marketing by lying about my gender. Just call me an anarchist.
(And I don't do too many of the surveys anymore, because it takes 20-40 minutes and they only pay you .50/survey. I think my time is worth a little more than that.)DH aka Mad Hen

I have similar problems with inboxdollars. I hardly ever qualify for surveys, partly because my DH works in the newspaper business.
The return on the surveys and emails is very low.
I prefer my points. I seem to qualify for a few more surveys and your points go further.Julie

I did it for a little while but I found that I could save more money in those hours and hours it took to do the surveys to make .50 or $1.00.

I don't care for Inbox Dollars. It's too time consuming for WAY too little pay. I'm just waiting to get enough to get one check and then that will be it for me. You need $30.00 to receive payment and I have $21.24. I've gotten the majority of that from clicking on the advertisements, not from doing the surveys.

I'm also waiting to cash out. I'm at $24. It's taken about 18 months to get there, as soon as I reach $30, I'm done.

I use inboxdollars and like it. You can't expect to make much money off it and it takes a long time to get it built up but its nice when you do eventually cash it in. I have cashed mine in once and like about $4 being able to cash it in again. I hardly ever Quailfy for the Surveys but I do click on the e-mails daily and I signed up for Blockbuster through them and got $15 that way but that is the only thing I have signed up for. After you cash in your first $30 I have noticed that you get twice the daily e-mails . I also do mypoints and Lightspeed Panel. I get lots of surveys with the light speed Panel and I have cashed it in for paypal deposits.

This is a late response here, but I do inbox dollars as well. I do surveys from time to time, but like many others, I rarely qualify. DH works for a PR company (though the creative department is technically a company of their own...I could fudge on that, probably), and that kicks me out of surveys more often than not. I do like the paid emails, though. I mean it takes forever to get it built up, but its money where there wasn't any before. I don't know if its worth it to pursue surveys or any of the cash offers, but its worth a couple of ad clicks each day.
I'm on mypoints and opinion outpost as well - same story, usually. With opinion outpost, I've found that if I can respond to the survey the moment it comes to my inbox, I've got a much greater chance of qualifying. I think many of these surveys have quotas for each demographic, and once that demographic is full, they'll deny anyone else in that category. So if you get in quick, you're more likely to qualify, as the category you fit in hasn't filled up yet. -Probably the same reason pretending that you're male will get you qualified - there are a lot of SAHWs doing surveys online, and very few men!
I guess I like the various survey websites, but I've learned not to expect much from them. Slow and steady, and I'll get $30 or $50 bucks eventually.

I do inbox also and have only qualified once in 2 years for a survey. Whoopdydoo. I have cashed in my first $30.00 and just so you know you do not get the whole amount. If I remember correctly they deduct $2.50 to process your check and they tell you your check will not be sent until 30 days later. I think this is to make sure you stay with them another month. Either way I still do the emails. Like PP said it's money I wouldn't have if I didn't. I also do Mypoints and love it. I recently quit doing Pinecone after 3 years. They keep making you install programs to see their graphics and videos and I'm sorry I'm not changing my settings so all the crappy popups can get in for one moment.

I've signed up for Mysurvey.com and Pinecone, but haven't gotten any surveys yet. I'm not sure why I haven't qualified yet. But I don't mind waiting. Once I do start getting some, they result in pretty easy money...no matter how small.

I quit doing inbox after they wiped every.single.dollar I'd earned (and I had about $3 left to go) because when we moved I didn't "participate" for 3 months. It's not worth it to me to have to earn 57, rather then the initial 30, for them to be so cotton-pickin' stingy. I'll stick with mypoints, pinecone & adsense & my a-store.
