question for mystery shoppers
I would really like to try this out to help out with our current situation, I was told to check out www.volition.com and was wondering if there are any other good site to look into for mystery shopping?

Kate, if you do a search with any search engine (google, ask jeeves, overture, etc...), it will give you PLENTY of ideas. Volition should have a list and all their links, too.

Customer Perspectives and Corporate Research International are my best ones... not sure what areas they serve though. Also Beyond Hello and Secret ShopNet.
Your best shot is to sign up with as many companies as you can... just search the net and start signing up like crazy. Most won't every contact you, but some will... it may take a little while, but they will.
Good luck!Sherry

Volition is the best resource I've found. There's also one called pocketchange.com I think. That one is good too.

You can go to yahoo message boards and put in mystery shopping, and you will get a few boards that can offer very good information. I use to belong to a few, and I got some good advice as well as some tips on assignments as well. Good luck. I had fun doing it, but it got to be a pain in the butt waiting to get paid. Most companies pay at least 30 days after an assignment. Once you get started and start doing a lot of shops it is not so bad, but when you are waiting for that first check, it can seem like forever. Some advice, don't do a shop for a company until you check them out. I have heard horror stories from people that are owed a lot of money and never get it. I have also never really had any problems. Those that I did have, were resolved with a phone call or email. You can also go to www.tripod.com and click on member sites at the top. Put in Mystery shopping and you should get a whole lot of message boards. Good luck.
