selling question
I just recently cleaned out my closet and I have 4 large garbage bags of clothes I want to sale. I have already given two bags to goodwill. My question is this....should I post them on ebay (never have posted anything before). If I do that do I take a picture of each item of clothing and put it on there. I have no idea what to do. Some of the clothing still has price tags on them. Or do I post them on here on the peddlers courtyard and maybe someone here wants them. How much should I sell them for? Everything is nice - I have everything from Ann Taylor to Gap to Target clothes - you name it - it's there. I just really needed to get rid of stuff. So please give me any advice you can - I don't even know where to start. Thank you in advance for your help! Oh - I can't start until the 19th of this month when I get back home.

If you were to do ebay you'd really want to take the pictures to get better chance of selling, it takes some time to do the whole listing and make it nice..and they charge a percentage of what you sell it fore, and also a small fee for listing
If you put it up here I think a description for starters would be good enough and then if someone was interested from that alone, and wanted pictures you could then take them ...Or...whatever is easier for you really

One other question...
For expample if I have a pair of Gap blue jeans in very good condition how much or what is the average that you would start the auction for? Is it at yard sale prices or more? Do people pay thru pay pal?
These questions are probably here somewhere but I'm sleepy right now...too much walking today! Can someone lead me in the right direction? Thanks!!

You can specify how you want them to pay. i would maybe go to another auction site and see what they started their itmes at. Maybe that would give you some idea. Hope this helps.

Try selling it here first and if that doesn't work, I recommend eBay. I sell there alot and have done great but I change resonable prices so that helps. Start buy asking 50% of what you paid for it if it's brand new and see what happens. You can always go lower if it doesn't sell.
Good luck!!

I would suggest trying to sell it here first also.
But it would really help you, since you havne't sold before, to go to ebay and read, read, read. There is so much information on selling and that doesn't even cover it all. There is a lot to learn and actually from what I've read, you never stop learning. lol It will help you with selling on this auction board too. Ask questions. All of us will try to help you out.
Have fun selling.
Take pictures. That is the best way for someone to see what you have for sale."Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibity."
