International Exchange Coordinators?
Has anyone every been an International Exchange Coordinator? I'm looking into doing this and I'm trying to find someone who's actually done it to talk to. The brochure dosn't explain much.

IEC's work either with independant foreign exchange agencies or with colleges and high schools. The interview and screen prospective host families and match them with foreign exchange students. They then become the liason or mentor to the foreign exhange student, helping them with school and host family problems, arranging orientations and group activities and making sure all of their administrative needs are met. They aren't really paid anything. They get $150 bonus for each student they place and then they are reimbursed a very small amount for activities and orientation costs. It's really a sort of vounteer position.
I am currently a local youth mentor and this position really interests me. I was just hoping someone else had done it so I could ask them some questions the brochures don't answer. The job I'm applying for is with EF Foundation for Foriegn Study.
