Longaberger?
Does anyone or has anyone in the past sold Longaberger?
Do you like their products? Do you think they are worth the $$$?

My friend in Ann Arbor sells them, they are beautiful (they are baskets, Robin) but way too expensive, lol! She gave me a little one as a going away present and I love it, but they are REALLY pricey. A lot of people like them though and I think my friend does okay with selling hers. I think you can look at them online at www.longaberger.com.

I think they are very nice baskets but way too much money for me. I can't even afford the fabric lining that goes inside!!

My mom sells them. I have a few. I get most of mine for gifts. They are expensive, but they are all hand made, and they do go up in value. I have one that I bought in 1984 for about $14, and it is worth around $50-75. You have to really be in to them to want to spend the money. My mom does pretty good. She was about $1000 or $2000 short of $20,000 last year. But you really have to put in the time, and have a lot of people who order on a regular basis to have it be worth it. I have never had a party for her because I don't have enough of people that are in to them to make it worth her while.

I've only ever seen them in magazines. I've heard about how expensive they are but if you get into the right circles with the parties Mel, I'm sure you'd do fine. I used to sell Home Interiors and I did very well with that.

DH has a coworker whose wife sells them. She makes more than her hubby just selling baskets, and she works part time at Acme for the health insurance. She does very well with them, and gave me a small one as a gift when I had Courtney.

Thanks everyone. I am just worried that the cost of the baskets will be to off-putting for people. Yes they are expensive, but I have baskets I bought from Wal-mart that were cheaper but don't seem to hold up as well. I really like them, but I can only get one at a time. LOL I guess I have some hard thinking and praying to do.
