Sold some books AND went to the consignment shop

Yesterday I took some clothes to the new consignment shop in town and she said that if/when they sell, I get 50% and she'll cut me a check. The owner is friends with my father-in-law, so I know I'm in good hands. I think that I'm going to re-go through our closets and see if I can't find anything else that is in good shape that I'd be willing to sell. Also, I'm going to go through my shoes and see if there is anything in good shape that I'd be willing to part with. I'm sure I can find something else.

Then, my mother and the kids and I went to a new bookstore in town that advertises that they'll buy used books. I brought a crate of books over. I got $8.00. I could have gotten more if I had waited until our garage sale (I charge $1 for hardcovers and she only paid me $0.50 for them and $0.25 for paperbacks) but I wanted them out of the garage and thought that any money would be better than nothing! I'm going to bring over another few boxes throughout the next few weeks. (It's hard to get a ton of books there at once since I'm toting a 3 year old and a 2 month old along with me!)

So, I've joined the world of consignment! Very exciting!

WTG Amy. I wish we had a consignment store near us. The closest one is 1 hour away and I'm not sure I trust the guy who runs it. The next closest ones are 3 hours away in Winnipeg.
